The Dallas Mavericks have filed a lawsuit against the Dallas Stars, according a Dallas Morning News report, related to control of American Airlines Center’s controlling company, arena upgrades, finances, and much more. With both the Stars and Mavs planning to leave the AAC when their leases expire in 2031, we’re left to wonder why this lawsuit could even be happening. Owen Newkirk and Sean Shapiro are joined by DLLS Mavs’ Bobby Karalla to discuss what the suit means, why it’s happening, and to assess how fans feel about it. (Spoiler alert: It’s not great.)

The Adelson family has been awful for Dallas. Mark Cuban screwed the city big time by selling to the casino family.
The forgotten angle here is that the Mavs and the Stars are one of the very few major draws for entertainment in downtown Dallas. If they leave, it will slowly destroy what little excitement the city has to offer. North DFW is where entertainment has already begun to migrate

At the end of the day, the Mavericks will never get another dollar of my money as long as the current ownership is involved. They clearly have zero passion for the city or the sport and are never going to go all in to build a great team. As far as I am concerned, at this point they could completely relocate the team and I would be just fine with it. Get them out of Texas completely and maybe we can get another team back in here eventually with a good ownership group.
After trading Luka and in the way they did, the Dallas Mavericks are dead to me like the Dallas Cowboys. The Mavs could move to Vegas, like they want, and I wouldnt bat an eye… SCREW THEM…

I think the Adelson's have shown that they do not care about the teams or the fans. You can see it with how they treated Cuban and the Stars. They are solely looking to have gambling in Texas. They have grossly overestimated the possibility of gambling being legalized in Texas. As for the Texas legislature, the reason it meets every other year is because the folks that wrote the Texas constitution believed in limited government and wanted as little interference with normal folks as possible.
I don’t wanna believe the Mavs are trying to do a hostile takeover but the again the owners are Jewish 🤔
