How good is Connor Ingram?

  1. His adjusted numbers, and at his best… still doesn't sound like much of an upside. So he has the potential to return to being marginally better than Skinner? Let's not forget that Stu is barely outside of rookie status, he's had 3 NHL seasons and made it to the cup final 2 of 3. People are unnecessarily hard on Skinny, let's hope a good goalie coach along with time and experience will continue to develop him. Don't get me wrong, Ingram was a good buy to keep as #3, incase there is a health issue but he's certainly not a solution. If they're going to change up anything with goaltending they need to get someone who could be considered among top 3 in the league, best of the best…even if he's a bit older and can only work a limited number of games and can be used to also mentor Skinner & Pickard.

  2. Skinner is what he is and its not bad. Hes a mid level goalie whose actually pretty consistent with a workhorse workload- which has a lot of inherent value in and of itself…. BUT the downside to that is there really is not a lot of upside there- lets just call a spade a spade. Hes done admirably but hes not a star level performer consistently. Ingram MIGHT be. If I was an oilers fan- that would be enough for me…
