Breaking News: Carey Price Traded to the Sharks
Breaking news in Montreal! Carey Price’s contract has officially been traded to the San Jose Sharks. The Canadiens send Price’s deal and a 2026 fifth-round pick to San Jose in exchange for defensive prospect Gannon Laroque.
This deal frees up more than $4M in cap space for Kent Hughes and the Canadiens, while giving San Jose the flexibility to reach the cap floor.
Even though Price hasn’t played since 2022, his legacy in Montreal is untouchable — a Hart Trophy, a Vezina, Olympic gold, and one of the greatest runs to the Stanley Cup Final in 2021.
Do you think the Canadiens should retire Carey Price’s number 31 at the Bell Centre? Let us know in the comments ⬇️

❓HABS FANS — WHAT’S YOUR TAKE?
➡ Should the Canadiens retire Carey Price’s number 31 at the Bell Centre?
➡ Or is his legacy secure without a banner?

Hopefully can sign a 2nd line center
Not only a chapter in Montreal Canadiens history, but then end to a chapter in the hearts of many fans. Loved his passion for the game, I will always miss watching him play hockey. Best of lucky to Carey Price in his life and career after hockey!
Prices # 31 is a interesting call as a few other Hab players have worn #31 Jeff Hackett and Mark Napier. So this could be debated as a Retired #31 or should it go to the ring of Honor. TOUGH CALL.
Go Habs Go
Always loved Price, one of the best in the world at his craft. Now perhaps we can go out and get the parts we need to complete this team. GO HABS GO.
Carey Price never let us down , its a real shame we didn't win him a Stanley Cup , he was the most deserving since Roy in 93. Thank you Carey Price.
Carey's legacy is a tough one. On any other team he would be a lock. Montreal's history is so full of superstars and champions that he might not be good enough.
Don't put a Sharks jersey on.. sign 1 day contract & retire a Hab.

Would you trade Beck, Struble and a 2nd round pick for Pavel Zacha as a 2C?
