Lemieux has a kingly presence. Pittsburgh was his kingdom and he was beloved by the people. He's so much more than a hockey player.
I'm pretty much dead inside but seeing flyers fans giving Mario an ovation after coming back from cancer has me a bit blurry eyed
When your FIRST shot ever is a goal it tells alot of your future career … But to be fair he s the G.O.A.T. !!! Who except him was first in leading points, leave middle season to beat cancer, comes back and re claims the leading position in scores finishing 16 points ahead of the others who never missed a game ?! Imagine if Mario never had cancer and a broken back, he would have destroyed all of Gretzkys accomplishments … IMO 🤷🏾
