Feeling great about this year. Last year was awesome but we all knew the ceiling for that team came down as injuries piled up. This year's squad has the potential to play with anyone in the country. Oweh preseason SECPOY, Lowe (benched for Purdue due to injury) All ACC, Quaintance in discussion for potential NDPOY, an NBA scout quoted as "we have 9 UK players on our radar", etc etc. This team, barring injury, should absolutely be competing for a final 4 and have championship aspirations.
Kentucky is going to be dangerous this season with out to good players to

#2 Jasper Johnson and #24 Malachi Moreno were the #24 & 27 ranked HS players last year. Theyre going to be really important Freshman to watch develop.
Kentucky's starting PG Jaland Lowe hurt his shoulder in a scrimmage last week and will be back most likely for the the regular season opener next week. Jayden Quaintance was a Top 10 HS player in 2024 and a top 10 portal guy who's rehabbing a torn ACL is expected to be cleared to play probably sometime before conference season starts. He's a 6'10" manchild with a 7'5" wingspan and projected lottery pick in next years NBA draft. This roster is loaded. Deepest team in the country. Kentucky paid Oweh around $3m to return to school. Going to be fun season!

Luciano is back and so is Oweh, Oweh is a senior btw. Also back is Garrison, Noah and Chandler. UK added Aberdeen from Florida, Diaboute from Alabama, Jaland Lowe from Pittsburgh and Jayden Quantince from Arizona State and finally Williams from Tulane. Lowe didnt play in this exhibition, he should hopefully be back for the next game or 2. Quantince will be out til probably December or January. Hes a 1st rd projected pick. UK also added Yelavich, a 21 yr old pro from Croatia. Johnson and Moreno are 2 KY boys who were both 4 stars recruits…gonna be a fun year
kentucky didn't even play very well and missing their point guard and starting center. PURDOODOO
As everyreporters are saying, UK looking dangerous this year. Offense looks like it's still there, may not be as big as it was last year but it's there. But what's new is on the defensive end of the floor.
UK got guys who are long, athletic, and very physical this year compared to last year. Purdue couldn't make anything or do anything on the glass cause of the defensive work from the cats. Very excitied this season, many are starting to believe this is a final four if not Championship team right now. Again, it's still very early and a lot of games to take place to see what happens. Lastly, last year we had a lot of injuries primarily from our PG spot. This year, we had 3 people for every position and that game showed how deep UK is as we played 18 different line-ups.
