Penguins look to continue their WINNING WAYS in Philadelphia!



The Penguins got back into the win column on Monday night with a very solid victory against St. Louis, but a big rivalry game looms! Patrick and Hunter begin the show recapping another solid victory by the Penguins, this time 6-3 over the St. Louis Blues. They discuss another historic milestone for captain Sidney Crosby, the play of Evgeni Malkin and the second line, and some of the first real struggles for Benjamin Kindel and Harrison Brunicke.     No one should expect these kids to be perfect. I think it is good in a way for them to have a dud of a game so coaches and management can see how they respond. We all knew it was coming. Having this dud and responding might actually be a good thing and make it easier for them to justify keeping the kids up.

    I’m just happy that we are resilient, and we find ways to win. And I like the fact that this team has another gear, and we always have been improving on our mistakes. It’s fun to watch

    Happy with hallanders first game with the top line (he got an assist). He also didnt make any mistakes. I think he is one of those guys who understands what it takes and hopefully on top of being reliable and consistent can ramp his game up as he gets a little more comfortable.

    Still seeing plenty of flaws but love the resilient efforts. If they are legit, it just shows how quick you can turn a team into a contender… Now before there's anything about the contender statement, any team that makes the playoffs is a contender because you never know. Especially with this core. The past few series losses have been to horrible goaltending, the team actually didn't play bad.

    These next ten really will be critical. But what's great about this kind of start is it can give a team a lot more wiggle room. They're not quite there yet. But if they can keep this up for just a little bit longer, at some point just playing .500 hockey for the rest of the season gets them into the playoffs. Obviously you want better than that. But if you can get to that point, it's huge insurance when injuries pop up or a slump hits.

    Soo excited about Murashov. Finding a franchise goalie is always the hardest part of any rebuild. He could accelerate this process exponentially.

    I was sitting in section 104 row D, that fan fell right up behind me and I never even knew it happened until someone sent me a news link about it while at the game. So crazy and sad. Hope they can pull through.

    The game started with a bang, then was meh until the halfway mark or so in the third.

    Big win. Great to be there for Sid’s 1700th point.

    The game tonight against the flyers was decent, wish we could have gotten the win. We are TERRIBLE in shootouts. Probably one of the worst teams in a shootout. Do we not practice them?! Lmao. Good lord. 🤣
