Elite goal tending goes a long way. They will over achieve for as long as Spencer Knight is playing like a franchise tender. Fun to watch…
Haven’t you figured out that Hawks are becoming a Third Period Team like the Panthers. That has to do with Gibraltar in the net. His .95%Sv% last night, .937% this year and 1.97GA is showing his depth/pedigree going back to college, US Development team etc. He’s been hidden behind Bob for so long but Knights performance has uniformly been upper echelon. He “ain’t” no flash in the pan.
The key to getting to the playoffs in the NHL is getting off to a hot start. If you look at the perennial playoff teams in the Western Conference like the Winnipeg Jets, Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche, they all get off to hot starts every single season and then they just grind their way to the playoffs. It's too difficult to gain ground in the NHL, so a hot start is always good.
Typical no-hockey knowledge Score, “The key is they gotta keep winning.” Thanks for the hot take genius
The Blackhawks have been in the basement of the standings from game one, every season for several years. This IS FUN!
