Sorry about the small lag spikes. This is a one-off issue and I already found the problem (no it's not my internet this time haha). Thank you for being here 🙂
We need Joshua Roy to pull an RHP type stint and maybe trade him as his value would be at his highest!
Habs have two good goalies simple 😉🤗
Laine won't be a Hab by the time of the playoffs. It's a lack of focus. (I'm being polite, and kind.)
Should
Someone go over my comment history for the past couple years. I have doubted Laine every step of the way. In the face of rose-coloured optimism it was clear as day, he doesn't have the heart to be an effective winning hockey player at the highest level. I wish him well personally, but wish to never lay eyes on him in Bleu Blanc Rouge again.
Honestly, the Laine experiment might be on its final stretch – i sincerely hope it turns out. Dach just can’t effin not be hurt.. it’s honestly insane
Habs need to beef up in the next year's they are too soft imo, even the D is all soft players, except Guhlie who's always hurt, Strubble hits when he wants. Arber? I never see him hit but he fights? That third line and fouth need to beef up in the 2 years then they can go for a playoff run.
The biggest problem with Laine is that we are unlikely to find much for him. He has a pretty bad reputation in the league for lackluster effort and attitude. It's a shame, because when his heart is in it he's a stellar player. From everything we hear about this squad they are extremely welcoming and a fun place to play… if Laine isn't going to be happy in Montreal he's not going to be happy anywhere at this point.
Laine the snails need to go. He's wasting time for younger player to developp!
I feel like Hage’s game will translate better to the nhl but hopefully both can excel
RB + Beck + Laine for Crosby
Laine on the 4th line and getting 43 seconds of PP2 isn’t going to work. There are role players that can provide more value on the 4th line than Laine. He hasn’t shown the work ethic and hustle we need to see. I’m pulling for the guy but I’m not so sure it works out here
Dobes gives me those Hasek vibes.
Honestly, Laine ain't working out.
Last year, when Laine joined the team, Caufiled became a passer. He scored 3 PPG after Laine joined the team. He had 7 in 2 months before Laine joined the team.
I'd rather Caufield on PP1 because he's better, more creative and we're committed to him long term.
I just looked at NHL stats and noticed something. The Habs have the 2nd most goals for in the league as of right now. Not too shabby!
It's not like we are gunning for the cup this year. I don't understand why so many fans are desperate to trade them now.
Give them a chance, they don't have much trade value anyway until they perform.
Even if we have a perfect forward corp, do you really think we will go far with Monty+Dobes?
Lainey needs to go! People seem to have memory lapses from last year. He's a lazy hockey player and should get a job at Tim Horton's selling turnovers………………………
Hage, but it's getting closer than anyone probably excepted
Funniest is to see Jake Allen in the Top 10, when he was in Montreal he could not stop a beach ball…😂
Patrik Laine is playing with 2 players with hands of cement. I doubt other players could do much better
yeah dobes was always a better prospect than fowler
Micheal hage is more polished than Zharosky … Zharovsky needs 2 more years in khl for more experience
Get rid of Patrick !! That’s a must
WHY WHY WHY , they keep forcing the same players into lineup, player s that have done nothing for years they bring up > I dont get it. try someone who has proven to be full fo heart and alreadty made a difference when he came up Florian.. we have tried Roy many times and he bring nothing to the table
we have enough skiil we need size and grit/heart upfront to give our skilled player room to move do thier magic
All these players get so used being injured they have come accustomed to getting apaid while sitting at home Guh le Glass every year multiple time injured, Dach same Laine no passion does not look like he wants to play a or enjoys playing
Not playing Laine on PP1 is absolutely ridiculous, he was the 2nd highest scoring habs player per game last season and had the second most PP goals of the entire league…
I think Dobes ends this season as a 1A. Wish we traded Montembault last year at his highest value. Dach is not going to be a hab at the end of the year. Trying to give him time so they can recoup assets for him. I dont know that anyone would trade for him.
We traded the 13th pick over all that we got for Alex Romanov and the 66th pick for Kirby Dach. So that was a terrible deal. Romanov and a 66th pick for Dach. They also picked up Gavin Hayes.
Chicago drafted Frank Nazar (63 GP 16 G 18 A 34 PTS) So he's a half point a game player and getting better, Dach is not quite a half point a game player and getting worse.
Laine has the one skill. Really needs the space the power play gives him to produce
I prefer Kapanen and Demidov on the second line with maybe Newhook who looks good with them. Like to see Roy get another chance with the big club.
Being a realist instead of an optimist this time…use Laine for what he's worth now then get what they can for him at the deadline. His days as a stellar player are done. Way too much going on in his head for management to cure and can never tell what you're getting from one day to the next. That anchor has to be cut loose.
Dobes would be "scheduled" to start in Calgary based on Calgary's position in the standings and Dobes being the number two goalie. I guess it is heresy to have the same goalie start both back to back games but if Canadiens win the Calgary game does that mean Dobes get the Saturday game against the Canucks? I think you should play a hot goalie until he loses even if he is the number two.
The best thing about Laine is the 8.7 million of cap space he will create when he is gone. I am surprised he is still on the team as his lackadaisical play is in opposition to the team culture. His goal scoring ability does not outweigh his attitude. Perfect fit for San Jose or Chicago or Toronto.
It's time for Laine to go, his heart is not in it. When they show pictures of the bench when his team scores, often times he's the only one not cheering. He doesn't seem like he wants to be there.
6:00 figures out how condenser mics work
Laine is a drag on the younger guys. As a veteran, he needs to s*** or get off the pot, his lack of effort has relegated him to the 4 line and that is unacceptable for the size of the contract he commands. If he wants PP time, he needs to earn it by his 5-5 play and by setting an example for the youngsters on the team. If he isn't prepared to do that, cut him loose.
How is that Erickson kid doing?
