Go Val why can’t we win a stinking shoot out?
I hate shoot outs they need to keep playing till someone scores
Most Val uable player
It's about time they put Val on the power play. Nelson is completely ineffective other than on face offs. Val is the cure for that ailing PP.
It is weird how this team can be so dominant on 5v5 but becomes useless on the 5v4 advantage. It just doesn't make sense. But hey I'll take that OTL point. If only we weren't so bad in the SO either.
I said this when the espn top 100 came out and Val wasn’t on there. I’ll say it again, I think off ice issues are gone. If he can stay healthy and play 75+ games, he will be a point per game and will make this team so dangerous. He always starts the season off slow like this year but he has been fantastic the last few games. He is now in full form and NEEDS to be on PP1. He is a 200ft TRAIN!
Necas needs a contract immediately. Anything under 11
Maybe Hakstol now realizes what I have known all along. Val needs to be on the first power play.
is it weird that as soon as they got down 4-1 I was like okay. this is about to get good. made a coffee, sat. back and enjoyed the show.
So mad the jerseys were sold out in like 10 minutes
I’ll be at the devils game on Sunday.
Those refs were wildin. Im sure Canes fans are annoyed by how many penalties they had, im frustrated by the "push wedgewood into the goal with the puck under his ankle" and Kelly getting a penalty because how dare he get tackled
Also, the deserve-to-win-o-meter doesnt account for the hockey gods actively trying to give the game to the Canes
As a canes fan I dont feel bad at all about the game. Avs played against 10 forwards and a d core missing its top 3. Spots being filled by 2 ahl d men and a old vet lol
PP is officially " a problem " . No excuse for this ineptitude.
Can you talk about how the Power Play wouldn't suck this bad if Mikko was still on the team please? It's annoying that y'all are annoying this fact when it is painfully obvious now
There are 2 issues that are becoming more apparent with the Av's. 1. We have some goalies that aren't very good at saving breakaways, whereas, we couldn't score a breakaway goal if their goalie fell over dead. 2. Is there anyone that can score a shootout goal on at least a 50% basis? Why didn't our best shootout goal scorer, Nate, take any of the shootout shots last night? We are at the point where we can't keep saying we got goalied in the shootout.
Me and a crew will be at the game Sunday in New Jersey. It'll be our 4th year in a row cant wait to cheer on our avalanche in person! Sec 12. Oh and thanks for the Gametime recommendation saved a ton compared to ticket master.
11 shots on 8 powerplays is fucking awful. That is not nearly sufficient shot volume. That's probably equivalent or LESS to the shots per minute that the Avs are getting 5v5.
You guys better sign Necas sooner rather than later cuz his price tag continues to climb as the season progresses! Cant have a Rantenan 2.0 sitch!!!
that game was so messed up on so many levels i wouldnt even kno where to start lmao jerseys looked awesome though
one really good take away from this game is this team isnt gonna lay down and die after a bad period , most teams would of lost that game like 6-2 ish and we piled it on lileraly 48 shots like dammm that has to be a nhl season high already ,bad 1st,hot goalie and bad pp didnt stop us from clawing back
Did you guys watch the same game I did? Carolinas forecheck was weak. Carolina did NOT play well at all. Their sustained pressure so miniscule even in that first period.
the problem with our pp vs canes was they are very aggressive and pressure you , what needed to be done was 3 passes max and get it on net the more we passed it around well u seen the more times they got there , they read it so many times and just easy dumps ,good pk teams which they are ..arnt gonna let u just play catch and set up
god manson has found another gear hes playing like hes 20 years old out there speed and dangles like waaaaa lol
cant remember who but chris or zach called it saying it would be cool if they did the play by play and said whalers and nordiqes etc and they did and the score board too u guys called that
I love when Avs play Canes. I lived in Loveland for about three years. I am really an Eagles fan but I enjoy seeing them when they play for the Avs. Live in NC now so I root for the Canes. Always a great game to watch!
Avs going down 4-1 on 12 shots is giving me ptsd
