Even though Ovechkin might have surpassed Gretzky in the the goal scoring Department his shooting percentage was rather poor. He's not even in the top 50 in the world compared to all past goal scorers. So yes he scored a lot of goals but he took a lot more shots that didn't go in then most of the top goal scorers in the National Hockey League since they started keeping statistics on this. Sorry Ovechkin but in my eyes you're a good goal scorer but not a great one.
