Bruins Defense is not good! MCavoy(9.5AAV) is underperforming and Lohrei(3.s AAV) is a bottom 6 AHL'er at best. They will be last again if changes arent made
Lohrei just doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes. It's like every other game he does decent then he's right back to the bone head mistakes. Going to be a long season picking the puck out of the net if something doesn't change.
So I just don't understand the management strategy this year. They knew they were not going to be an offensively skilled team, that was obvious. You would think they would at least shore up the D? But then they sign Joki to a 3 year extension, and then keep Lohrei up, knowing full well that both Hampus and Charlie were at best question marks to start the season. Why sign Joki to a 3 year? He is a BAD NHL defenseman, he is a 7, 8 or in the AHL on any decent team. Yes, I know there were no right shot D available, but they still could have upgraded if they had done things differently. And Lohrei should be in the AHL after the camp he had, he showed no signs of improvement and frankly I am wondering if he's ever going to be good enough for the NHL on the defensive side. I don't see a coherent mgmt. plan going forward.
Brutal game, they’re not playing the system. I think if you’re going to bench some people and they come back and perform, but on the other hand, do not bench players when they’re costing them games you might start to create some animosity in the locker room. Laura needs to sit. I would take Harris over Laura right now.
Calling someone up this early says more about the coaching than any player. Not a great way to send a message. If this staff is competent then they need to be the ones to "fix" this.
Razor, you can’t be serious with thinking Lohrei still has the ability to be a Top 4 Dmen. There is now way. The eye test is terrible and without looking at the stats/analytics – it has to be worse!
No excuses really, they can't find the urge to be physical and grind out a heavy style win against a crippled Florida roster? Something is wrong, and it shouldn't need to be said this early! Poor Sturm landing this mess.
Ive been a wing and centerman my whole life, i still dread rim arounds and getting the puck off the wall, especially on the ice we play at😂 ill take center all day over that
I can not believe Sturm benched Pasta for the last 8 minutes of the game before the last one, really , your only true goal scorer and you bench him , come on man , really . Sweeny has to go , i have been saying this for a long time . it is going to be rough for years with Sweeny , please do us a favour and let him go clean floors in the bathroom
Lohrei was a forward initially in high school or college he switched to defense.. 41:53 so he started off as a forward. I don’t think it would be that difficult for him to switch to forward because he plays like a forward half the time anyway. He definitely plays defense like a forward.
