So Lazarus thinks Lafreniere will be a Rangers next year? He makes great points. Anyway I was psyched by Laffy in pre-seaon and first few games. He looked more dominant, stronger, faster and what happened? all players will have bad games and slumps, but that doesn’t mean they are going to crumble as soon as a little adversity shows up. between that and not working hard enough IMHO makes me think he’s not championship material.
IDK, we’ll see with a couple good moves, they could surprise in the postseason, and they have some talent and Hartford, who probably should be playing ahead of a couple of guys who should be relegated as depth pieces

Last season Igor was the worst 5.5M/Yr goalie, and we gave him a 6M/yr raise instead of using the money to build out the team.
Panarin isn't the problem. Laffy is the huge problem. Too inconsistent and you can't have that on your top lines

They have to ditch Laf. Hes a dud and his value is just going to get worse the more he plays. Right now they still have a chance of getting rid of him and having other teams think the rangers development was the issue. They wait any longer, ain’t no way anyone will see him for more than anything other than a bust.
Yeahhhh, sorry Jonny, I am definitely in the "Political" crowd that thought 11.5 was too much for Igor. His comparables were goalies that have won multiple Cups and Vezinas. Igor has 1 Vezina. 1. And ultimately, they will have to win it all to justify that paycheck and calling it a "we built the team from the goalie out" strategy. I dont see that happening anytime soon (within in the next 3-5 years).
I would trade that one-dimensional liability tomorrow. So tired of Panarin choosing when to try and when to stand and watch.

Who is asking Cuylle to score 30-40????

All Cuylle is being asked to do in place of Kreider is be a presence in front of the net. The kid is already a 20 goal scorer and should see an uptick with increased ice time. And that will be fine.
I think Dury has shit the bed and overpaid for Cuylle! He’d better score 30-40 goals or mathematically it makes no sense!
The Rangers biggest problem is Chris Drury. As long as he is the GM the Rangers will never see another Stanley Cup, i hate to say it but its true he makes the worst decisions. Shit-sterkin is not living up to his 11 mil a year unless you're paying him to lose
Panarin is the best Ranger signing of all time. Get rid of Zib, Soucy, Borgen instead
Panarin needs to be moved asap he’s not worth that money he’s stealing. And we have so many holes the roster is a joke sherry and radysh are bums. The window is already shut trade Panarin for draft cash and bring up some kids.
The problem is management doesn’t know how to develop talent. Drury is a horrible GM. This team can’t score. 3rd line is horrible.

13th forward – Sheary, Let Brodzinski captain the Pack since there's far too many 3rd line players anyhow. SHOULD there be a Panarin exit w/no replacement/just draft picks, I would put Lafing Stock in his place since he is truly a left wing and weigh in on bringing up Othman or unscratching Raddysh or Sheary to bolster. If Laf fails, maybe give berard a shot on the LW since that's his main as well. Of course, this rides on Trochek being out. His return would shift Zibjab back to RW and shut the door on Othman or Sheary.

It's the beginning of the year calm down everybody. Like really Sullivan is a coach that coached Pittsburgh to a Stanley Cup when they were out of the playoffs contention halfway through the year so it doesn't just all rest on the general manager and the owner. And all the rest of it and dealing away your best player offensively is not the best thing to do at the moment they need to create a winning culture. You know it's one loss after an amazing win and everybody wants to panic and there's going to be a lot of noise. All they have to do is straighten out the third line maybe Laba isn't ready. And another thing that lines Puck possession time and giveaways and everything else was horrible in the past few games games. And they were benched over half the third period of the last game. Also remember a major player out. V.T. …..
This season is getting really bad really fast. We have a idiot for an owner. DOLAN gives Drury an extension. The guy is horrible. The team is becoming an embarrassment, and we're not even out of October.

Monday morning quarterbacking is easy. It’s like spending someone else’s money. It’s being responsible that counts, and right now, Drury is failing.
OK then- Panarin and Othmann for Robertson. But don't stop there. Then move Laffy and Berard for Martin Nečas.
Sit Panarin. Period! Send a message. Bring up Otthman. Send message that play or be replaced. Give Otthman some exposure. Have him drive to the net. Good things will happen. A goal. or a power play. NYR are lacking that game in front of the opponents crease. They need to stop looking for the pretty tap in goals. Put Rempe in front of the goalie and a PP.
