I LOVE the Bruins. However, playing a neutral ice trap when you struggle to break the puck out of your end is bad hockey. It hasn’t been successful for the last ten years because the speed of the game through the neutral zone is insane. Slowing down entries and exits doesn’t work in NHL any more. McAvoy is a very good defenseman not a franchise defender he’s too small. Our Goalies need to play .915-920 save percentage against good teams.
Zadorov and McAvoy need to be the top pair. Lohrei needs to be with a defensive stay-at-home type defenseman who can cover the zone and let Lohrei act like a 4th forward. Putting Lohrei and McAvoy together brings both of them down.
