  1. Hello, can you analyse Jack Drury penalty vs the Whalers in the last 2-3 minutes of yesterday's game. The broadcasters were pretty disgusted by the call when I was watching.

  2. The way the game ended and the reffing towards the end really doesn't feel great…

This call, Gallagher went to the officials to ask about and they confirmed it was a bad call, shouldn't've been called but well can't walk back on the call so just gotta roll with it.
The matheson trip on McDavid idk the exact specifics of the ruling for tripping tbh, iirc it was like knee on knee contact but from the side with each going the same direction, and I feel like that's a bit different from the typical tripping calls I see but I could be wrong on that one.
The Anderson unsportsmanlike is yeah, we don't have all the info but probably shouldn't've done that but also man the ref really chose the most impactful punishment he could. A 10min wouldn't've affected the game after nearly as much for example.

They also called a 10min misconduct on Jake Evans very late into the third period, right after the last goal, and that one we actually don't have any info or basis on what happened so can't say much but welp.

I will not deny that I'm biased on this, but yeah no it feels bad with some questionable stuff when the Canadiens where otherwise doing very good on the 5v5.

  3. This is a prototypical board, it's not gratuitous in the force applied, but it is absolutely hitting a guy from behind into the boards.

  4. Honestly the NHL just needs to get consistent about what is and isn't boarding. Makes calls like this that much easier when there's less leeway
