I was a huge fan of EJ throughout his entire career. He never gave up on the Avs despite all the horrible seasons they had in the early/mid 2010s. Absolutely loved that he won a Cup with the team he gave so much to! I will always be a Condor fan!

2000 dollar fine to a guy that makes a million a year is very likely to stop him from repeatedly and blatently attempting to injure other players in games that don't even count, good job department of player safety, very good job

one thing to consider, about fines…its pre season, where players are not paid at all, so in theory, if you suspend them you're not hitting their wallet at all (But then again, getting a 2000$ fine for a hockey player is like giving someone with a "normal" job a 20$ fine)

I saw Korn on Metallica's 2000 Summer Sanitarium Tour on July 4th in Baltimore. Also there was Kid Rock, System of a Down, and Powerman 5000. The concert was fantastic, but the weather was insanely hot.

I’d love to see your review of what markets allow a player to earn a lot more money on sponsorships. I think this would help us understand how some markets are really more attractive than others.

Another idea that would be cool at least for me personally would be: during the season how do teams and players seperate “team time/on the clock” and personal time? Is there X amount per day that they need to “report in”? Is it the question that the coaching staff makes certain trainings “mandatory” while others are “optional”?…it would just be cool to understand “a week in the life” kind of thing
Erik Johnson was always going to get overshadowed by Sidney and Alexander but at the very least he had a long career and won the Stanley Cup so it was all good for him.

I’m bummed that ALee got waived. He’s an Edina Hornet from way back and a star bordering on elite every where he played, esp as an Islander. He could plunk his big frame in front of the net and be “that guy” that puts it in. I suppose it had to happen sometime . It feels like the end of an era.
