When the NESN broadcast mentioned that the Blues were one of two teams left in the league that hadn't scored a PP goal at home, I legit said out loud "oh nice, can't wait for our PK to change that for them lol" AND THEN I WAS RIGHT
I saw both teams were called for a quite a few high sticking penalties.. is it a trend this year with other teams or just Bruins? And apparently Blues?
I think we need to get off Monty's back. I know a lot think it's the job of fans to panic or to jump to ridiculous conclusions, but at 47 years old, as a die-hard Boston sports fan, I've been around the block and have learned to STOP calling for firings and whining WAY TOO EARLY.
Huge win for the team, they needed this comeback win BAD. Montyās seat is still hot, but hopefully we can build off this and have a strong performance against Dallas. Go Bās.
I looked at the lineups just before the Bruins game. Couldnāt, for the life of me. Notice who was scratched. As. Johnson in the lineup, and Geekie, who I was happy to see backā¦something was wrong. Itās funny. Iām wearing my Poitras Jersey and was like āok. Something about these lines. Someoneās out, but who?ā So I looked at the Bruins page in specific and scrolled down. āBoston Bruins assign Poitras to Providenceā fuck.
First time in 8 games that the Blues didnāt let a goal in the first period, and I believe thatās first minute of the game too. So, we helped them kill that.
They scored first for once, so. Thatās something. My father fell sleep before they scored. I thought he was awake for it. I knew he was out like a light before the second power play. He didnāt miss anything so. I didnāt really care to try waking him up. Wasnāt until our dog started howling, something was outside, that my father woke up. Looked at the score āhuh, I missed two of their goals.ā Yeah. I thought you were awake for the first one. Guess you werenāt aware theyāre both Powerplay Goals. āNope, so. We were their first two. Niceā
Third period. After the goal by Geekie. There was the commentary āthat this will be the game the Bruins have a third period comebackā Iām going to press X to doubt, because. This team is not capable. Barely able to bite the ankles of said Blues player (whoever it was) despite being on his ankles, since the Blues Blue-line. Heās slow, and heās trash. You can be one but you cannot be both. Defensive liability, but. Iāll give him this. I canāt say he was alone responsible for any goals scored against usā¦which, I unfortunately can say for Geekie. Love the kid, want him around. He has talent and we arenāt able to utilize it quite yet.
That should be our ideal Defensive Lines. With H.Lindholm injuredā¦yes. Hopefully day-to-day. If we are willing to keep a liability and player I hate, in our lineup (Johnson) then maybe we should bring up Mitchel. Have him slot in next to Carlo. Not like this team is anything beyond consistently disappointing. š
the bruins miss sophia being around. but razor did call the come back last night. that was great. if the bruins PK was good to great they would have a totally different record.
Itās wild how bad the pk is cause they get a ton of practice on it. As frequent as they take penalties the % almost adds up to 2 goals a game automatically for the opposing team. Its close to 1 out of every 3 penalties and they take about 5-6 a game
One of the biggest things I notice is they donāt create any open passing lanes. Even geekies goal went through 2 sticks and nearly got blocked. They donāt create layers at all.
Get ready for tomorrow night in Dallas. If we can win that one then I will feel so much better about this team. But knowing how Dallas does things they will probably obliterate us. I mean look what they did to Pittsburgh the other night
Honestly I agree that poitras is not the problem. But I think that this move is the best for him. Being send in the AHL. Will give him more opportunities to play and help him further for his career

The comeback was fun, but being down 2-0 in a game we basically completely dominated at 5v5 just shows how pathetic the special teams are rn. At least pasta and McAvoy both came to play.

I stopped watching after two periods, that was some putrid hockey. I know they came back and beat a bad team, but I don't regret missing it. As a lifelong Bruins fan who rarely misses even one game, this team makes me not want to watch them.
The most annoying thing to me is the fact that we have been so spoiled as Bruins fans to have a great (or at least solid) team for well over a decade. So seeing Bās fans go online and say some of the most heinous and awful things and revoke their fandom is appalling
We have no spacial awareness for where the other guys are. We even collided into each other with an open net trying to score. This is getting pathetic, we need to fix this
I want to personally apologize to the bruins team and fans for watching these games this year. Record in games I don't watch 6-1… Guys keep me updated how they look cause I'm not going to watch for the team for a while
Poitras got hurt last year and so far this season does sometimes put himself in harms way. He is just 20 and not exactly built like Brazeau. I think he is being managed similar to 2014-15 Pastrnak who played 45 games with Boston and 15 with Providence. Pastrnak was pretty skinny in his youth, load managed and encouraged to 'bulk up a bit'. That continued, but less so in 15-16. It was effective.
FWIW, I clicked away in the 2nd at 2-0. The 'play well, then take a couple penalties and fall behind' is getting old. I did reengage for the last 10 minutes of the 3rd.
Zadorov doesn't look right on the PK. Makes me long for Forbert.

We was really bad. We canāt still do an 5 meters passing – Sway was so lucky during this game. With strange puck handles. The offensive is so bad. The only solid one is Marchand, Coyle, Hampus – why even have Pasta on the ice – he looks like an ice princess on sand. Iām not sure he knows it is a game. Zadorov starts the game with a elbowl but are so lucky that he didnāt get a 5 minutes or even match Penalty fort that. A good coach has benched him after that. He was not ready for a game. Donāt understand how bad blues have gotten to lose this game.
