The San Diego Gulls came away with a hard-earned point on the road but dropped a 3–2 overtime decision to the Henderson Silver Knights on Friday night at Lee’s Family Forum.
After a quiet first period, the action picked up early in the second. Henderson struck first, but the Gulls answered quickly with back-to-back goals just 43 seconds apart. Jan Myšák tallied his first of the season to even the score before Roland McKeown buried his own rebound to give San Diego a 2–1 lead. Matthew Phillips collected assists on both goals, while Sasha Pastujov and Myšák each added helpers.
The Silver Knights tied the game early in the third, and despite several strong chances from San Diego, the contest headed to overtime. In the extra frame, Braeden Bowman netted his second goal of the night to lift Henderson to victory.
Calle Clang made 26 saves on 29 shots, while the Gulls matched the Silver Knights in shots (29–29) and held strong on the penalty kill, going a perfect 2-for-2. San Diego will look to bounce back quickly in Saturday’s rematch against Henderson.

Can we never play the silver knights again pls
Who dislodged the net? Was it on the previous possession or did goalie bump it skating backward when there was nobody on that side?
