How concerning has start been for Senators?

What did you think of the Maple Leafs response against the Devils? How concerning is this stretch for the Senators? Are the Oilers figuring out their scoring issues? TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss.

  1. This is what reminds fans that Steve Staios was never meant to be GM as he cheaped out with the coaching hiring and did little to address the team's offensive woes last offseason. He wasnt even in consideration before their last GM got fired.

  2. Um did he just say Edmonton wraps up the road trip in Montreal on Thursday?

The oilers host the Canadians on thursday.

  3. Every year we have to hear how this time it'll be different, the Senators are surely gonna make a leap. How long until the media stops bothering? lol

  4. title: "video about the Sens", content: but first, lets spend half the video talking about the fucking leafs.

  5. We are always slow till Christmas then we become pesky and get a W streak going… lets hope is good enough to make playoffs

  6. 1:03 There no doubt has been a lot of talk about the broken culture within the locker room of the Leafs although in response to the title of the TSN video, the Sens’ slow start should be concerning. Sure the Sens, in their Tuesday OT loss to the Oilers, allowed under 4 goals but the Sens, in:
    – all games, starting with the Florida teams, have allowed at least three goals in each, excluding shootouts
    – 5 of 7 games they’ve played, have allowed at least 4 goals in each

For the Sens the 2026 postseason will become IMO a pipe dream if they play too many games, particularly over the next 4-5 weeks or so, during which 3 continues to be the minimum number of goals they give up in a given game.
