Yeah. Y’all got a real gem in Poehling there. If he’s going to be hitting his stride in two years. Yes with fleury, KK, Suzuki, Caufield, Mete….. But where will Ottawa be in two years? Especially if they get two top five picks this year.
Poehling's clutch play is what gives him the potential for serious Top 6 consideration. His floor is third line, not his ceiling (in my opinion, of course).
THE FOUR MORONS STRIKE AGAIN ,THS KID IS HAS NO CEILING ONLY HIS CONFIDENCE AND YOU FOUR SHOULDNT BE ON THE AIR ,YOU ARE A DETRIMENT TO YOUNG PLLAYERS AND THE MONTREAL CANADIENS .YOUR IGNORANCE IS A DISGRACE !
I don't understand how you can think the poor kid is "on track". They drafted him as an offensive player and hopefully one who can help them at centre. They bring him up and he scores 4 goals in the last game of the year, he's feeling great and then what do they do? They stick him on the 4th line, playing 6 minutes a night with players who cannot possibly allow him to contribute offensively and his confidence takes a beating. Do you think that is how players like Naslund and Richer were brought up? NO!!! They were slotted into places in the lineup where they could contribute offensively! You guys are forgetting constantly that players like him have been the best player on their team all the way through minor hockey through junior/high school.college etc. And then they are put on the fourth line with a couple plumbers and told "do your best not to get scored on." It's no wonder none of these kids are turning into good NHL players!!!

So that makes what, two 3rd line centers? Three? The Habs are still looking for top-6 talent.
I'll keep saying it, Montreal need Stanley Cup winning talent and it ain't in the organization now.
