After watching them play against the Hurricanes, if I were Warsofsky, I’d copy coach Brindamore. He uses a simple straight ahead system that would likely be easier for a young and newly formed roster to follow. Keep it simple and solidify your basic defensive and puck-control principles. Only then will the young guns be ready and confident to unleash their offensive powers.
These line changes every game make no sense. How are you supposed to build consistency? He needs to go. He obviously doesn't know what to do with the young players.
I get everyone says he has no NHL experience but that is literally why ilhe is this teams coach. They want him to grow as the team grows. Every coach needs a first time being a coach. Sometimes you're an assistant on a cup winning team for 5 years, and you get your shot with generational talent. Sometimes you get a start on the worst team in the league with a bunch of 19 year olds and washed out bums. They just need to put the young guys in, and skinner and tafoli, and send these old atrocious d-men to the beach. At least young guys will get experience.
We scored 9 goals in the first two games, then Warso scrambled the forward group and now we’ve scored 7 goals in three games. I don’t know why he thinks the initial forward groups were the issue when the defense was so obviously poor. Klingberg was fine as long as he wasn’t expected to defend. Leddy and Orlov are straight up bad. Dickinson, Muk, and Iorio should be in full time. And finally, someone needs to have a come to Jesus with the goalies about playing the puck. Theyre not as good as they think they are at playing it. They gotta fuckin stop.
