  1. Don't understand why is a huge decision who's better he plays! Couch has no problem benching scratching or sending a player to the minors. Arber a prefect example!!

  2. Monty definitely looking shakey to start this yr they should just play the hotter goalie more and see where things go

  3. I’m not certain if ranking Dobes as #1 is the best decision, but the playing time should definitely be more evenly distributed this year.

  4. I don't really care who is called 'No. 1'. MSL needs to go with the hot hand. If you win, you get the next start. Lose and you sit. Thanks guys.

  5. Monty past has show ,he always bounce back after a bad game , my guess he get buffalo and Dobes Calgary / Oilers ☝️

  6. Dobes vs Buffalo should be a ball in the park win, and then Wednesday but Monty on Thursday stop fing around.

  7. Not playing Laine on pp1 with Hutson is so stupid, it gave them like 15 goals easily, Hutson won Calder thanks to Laine… But no one see's this. They come up with well if Caufilef was there… NO he wouldn't have scored that easily. Dobson is on theright side, and only passed to Laine 1 time in 5 games on pp2… Wake up people.

  8. Montenbault is not sharp, he should play less. He was very lazy last night, Robertson goal was terrible. nobody was screening him. never was a no.1 goaler.

  9. Everybody is down on Monty in the first part of the season when we did not make the playoffs without him last year. Sounding like Leafs fans to me. Keep the faith and Go Habs Go!

  10. Monty has always been overrated. If we need to trade a forward for help i'd be happy to see Laine or Anderson traded for just about anything.

  11. I love Monty but Dobes is playing better, the season has just started, and it's not time to panic, but I'm on, team Dobes right now. Cheers 🏒

  12. The decision is easy. Dobes should be in. Just like the decision about Dach & Guhle…they can't be counted on to stay healthy, so they shouldn't be! Until they're both permanently replaced, we're always gonna be a broken team.

  13. I'm not ready to give up on Montembeault but the 3rd goal he allowed to the rangers has been the type of goal he's struggled with for quite a while now going back to last season. This is the sorta thing he should've been working on in the offseason going over video and working on techniques to make those saves more automatic. Hopefully this is the wakeup call he needs to dig into this issue with the video team and coaches and work on cutting that part of his game out. I'm glad this is what he is struggling with because a consistent problem is a fixable problem. I'm confident he will work hard to fix it, he doesn't lack for work ethic or drive, and this seems like it ought to be an easy fix. The hardest part will be finding the stomach to watch a bunch of clips of himself at his worst. If he fixes that issue he'd go from being pretty good when he's on his game to a top tier goalie because his in close play is excellent. This isn't that different than when Price struggled with his glove hand early in his career, it got exploited, he looked awful, then he fixed it and became one of the best in the league. That said until he does fix it we should be playing the hotter goalie in Dobes.

  14. Habs drafting has been solid since Hughes and Gorton took over. Bergevin was dreadful at the draft. Eventhough Hughes has had the luxury of picking top 5 the years running Bergevin's record showed he never swung for the fences. Caufield was the bright spot spot Bergevin's tenure but that was more of fortunate circumstances that CC fell into Bergevin's lap not because of his savvy at the draft.

  15. You are making a mountain out of a molehill. Dobes is the obvious choice. As for our prospects go, yes, some of them are performing well but they are mostly average sized players, when what we need is some big, physical, players!

  16. i love how you can throw someone under the bus so quickly althought Monty never was no1 goalie

  17. Monty will be fine, he has not been horrible just not to his level. Give Dobes a game and if he performs let him run a bit. Monty will bounce back and both will be running. Its a long season, players are going to have ups and downs.
