Playing Montambault is a problem..Technically he's lost ..how to move facing real shooters… the couple bad calls penalties..combined with A lost montambault cost the Habs the game they dominated hugely…. !
That trip call on Matheson was not legitimate. It was such a weak call! All night refs were telling players to get back up. But McDavid was selling trips in the end. He tried doing it a couple seconds earlier the penalty was called. And in the replay, you could see Matheson's stick was not at McDavid's feet, not in between the legs. It was horizontal near McDavid's hip. Nope! That call was from legitimate.

I really do like the show, but come on Marco, give me a break. That officiating stunk to high heaven, especially on the heals of the NBA scandal. Call it what it is, then move on. You have great insight and you seem like a smart cookie, BUT, show a back bone.
Slafkovsky did cross check before going into the board. Questionable yes but also acceptable. Matheson clipping McDavid yes. Stick along the shin/knee pad. Anderson who knows?

Yes maybe but the ref said he made a mistake so he should of gave Anderson a 10min instead of a 2min power play 🤷♂️
If it is just bad referring, which I agree, then why can't you say that they lost because of the refs? You guys go through hoops trying to stay in the middle – just call a spade a spade. Forget the idiot takes, I find it embarrassing on some of the comments you guys are making. The Edmonton media even said it, but you guys are "too smart" to state the obvious.

OK I finally watched the game (not just highlights and news). True the veterans have to be disciplined. But I do NOT see anything Josh Anderson did that warranted an unsportsmanlike conduct in the video, and I am not necessarily inclined to trust the word of these officials after the sheer incompetence they displayed. So, what exactly happened? Does anyone really know? Shouldn't the NHL look into the performance of its employees, in this case the officiating team in that game? Like you I hope the players don't dwell upon it, and yes they have to be disciplined. But they even annoyed Cole Caufield this time. He is not exactly a meanie.

The thing was the refs blew that game so soft they yell f you to each other all the time and the Anderson stick tap to the refs is the bottom line lol it’s hockey emotions are high so the for the refs to interject themselves into the game was disgraceful to the sport

I'm still not ready to give up on Dach. Give him another solid month, hopefully he gets 100% healthy. Get Dach paired up with Bolduc and Demidov and it will grow into a true 2nd line threat.
I am however nearly ready to give up on Montembeault, Doby looks like he could actually be an elite starter. GHG!
Blaming the refs is one thing but Montembeault had to make some saves. He let in 6 goals. He has been bad. That has to be the main story here. You can't keep using Montembeault as your number one.
You can have your opinion, i definitely have mine and that’s ok either way. My take is that it was fairly evident that we were better team than them last night. I hated the Josh Anderson penalty I’ve seen lots of plays over the years of that happening and no call was made. I can give another example of Slav rubbing an Edmonton player and getting a boarding call when Earlier in the game Dach was hit much harder into the boards and no call. Then literally not even a minute later Josh Anderson getting tripped from Draisaitl and the whistle was no where to be found. I’m fine if the officiating is 60%-40% but when it is that clear that it was mostly for Edmonton that’s a piss off. And I agree Monty didn’t play the greatest game, I totally agree, there was some where he should definitely had, but even if they wouldn’t have called the Josh Anderson one we could have had a very good chance of pushing that to OT. If you want to call the Matheson one fine I’m ok with that but the Anderson one come on give your head a shake let the game get played the way it supposed to be and if you don’t then call it somewhat close on both sides.
Oh come the fuck on guys. Montreal had one…one powerplay. Edmonton had the rest on bad calls!!!!! This game was tilted from Salf's boarding stupid call onwards. There is absolutely no way the habs lose this game if its called honestly. We need to bring in coaches challenge on bad calls period !!

I think Shaun has some family that are refs. 9999 times out of 10000 that call on Anderson doesn’t get made.
I love how they think the NHL is the only pro league without refs in on gambling. It’s just an NBA and NFL thing, right? 😂
