Sammy should be the lead host. He comes off as a good, honest guy, a real sports fanatic who's all in, too bad some of Sammy doesn't rub off on the leafs players.
It wasn't just the Anderson call. Slafkovsky boarding? Complete joke. 5 Straight edmonton PPs. Oh well, luckily its regular season. We move on.
Kipper is an idiot
Yea but the officiating wasn’t 60%-40%. It was more 80%-20% officiating, which was absolute bullshit. If they didn’t even call the Josh Anderson, we would have gotten at least 1 point. And the Slav penalty was another bullshit call especially after the following shift Leon took Anderson’s legs out and no call and it was clear as day a penalty.
No one in the media has the balls to just say the reffing has sucked for decades and something needs to be done about it.
Focused on the unsportsmanlike but ignoring the other 3 bullshit calls. The boarding call on Slaf was a joke.
If what happened in Edmonton happened against the leafs you guys would be talking for ever about it. The issue was Edmonton did all those things to montreal and there was no calls, they were letting play and then in the last ten minutes they changed the way they were officiating,
that's it folks. they want the best players in the league protected .97 is the next 99. and the next is 98. they crown them kings from the start. don't touch or interfere with. then celebrate them their whole career. Fans from the USA don't understand your logic. if you didn't earn it you don't deserve it . that's what the rest of the world knows.Habs got screwed. jut checked highlights to check in on Andy(go Erie Monsters)you guys suck!
man this show would be going nuts if the leafs got the reffing the habs got last night and they would have a much different view. it really sounds like none of them watched the game .more less just the Anderson play.
Kipper, can you comment on the Boarding call on Slafkovsky? That was the call that got things going between the Habs and Refs. I agree with you that there are 60-40 calls that depend on your allegiance, but I challenge you to tell us that that one was not 100% not a Boarding penalty. (I have seen worse in non-contact Hockey that didn't get called.)
Wrong again KIP, You give him 10 min misconduct and he's out of the game. But the 2 min … Did he trip, slash ,board or injured any Edmonton players … No…. Ref power trip.
Coaches who dont perform get fired. Player who don't perform get cut or demoted, why the hell would we think that officials are above all reproach? That refereeing job last night was a travesty of justice.
Sad to hear Cole lower himself with such a poor sorry comment. Bad calls happen tuck that lip up
ANY DECENT NHL FAN WITH EYEBALLS AND A FEW BRAIN CELLS BOUNCING AROUND ARE UPSET OVER THE REFS. THE REFS NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED FOR POSSIBLE SPORTS GAMBLING
Stop defending the NHL, this is a professional league. It's refs should also be professional. The officiating in the NHL has been bad for a long time. As a hockey fan why would I watch hockey games when the ref's are deciding or affecting the outcomes.
5 straight calls against the habs , the call on slaf was not a penalty in anyway . Was an embarrassment
The talk about the refs on hockey taking the game away from them. We need refs calling more penalties and we need them to keep doing it during the playoffs. Keep the game consistent and safe. Kids are becoming violent on the ice again because of the sample teams like the Panthers are making. The refs need to calm penalties and the DPOS needs to step up and make the consequences for violent non hockey plays more sognificant
The Leafs talk last is a bad play boys. No one that matters cares about anyone but the Leafers. Boooourns boys
You guys have to check your bias. The refs were BS.
You guys and your bias…the Habs were called for 6 STRAIGHT PENALTIES from the 2nd and into the 3rd period.
If you guys were legit journalists you'd know how RARE it is for a team to take that many calls in a row.
NHL refs are terrible take your blinders off.
If it happened to the Leafs you guys would be whining and demanding an investigation stop it.
We've seen before what comes next as the refs are like a gang and sensitive when teams or players, coaches call them out for screwing them…Habs will hardly get calls and powerplays rest of the year and Caufield and Gallagher will not get calls and if they do it will be rare.
The league is a joke with officials.
I would say stop defending the leagues bad officiating but we all know you guys get finger wags and emails/letters demanding you to retract negative statements when you do criticize them.
There 100% should be an investigation. I think it's enough is enough. Every year, refs refs refs. How come they are allowed to take control of a game and we aren't even allowed to ATTEMPT to get answers? I'm not being a cry baby. I just want answers. I'm just being a curious human being. I think the mentality of avoiding an investigation is the very reason it's gotten like this in the first place. The refs should be accountable.
Also, the Anderson penalty isn't even the worse. For all we know he could of said something to the ref that was crossing a line. What about the Slaf call? All of a sudden body contact is a penalty? That literally happens 100x each game!
Bob probert or john kordic would eat reeves lunch
5:36 No Justin, the relationship ISN'T good. It's not a good relationship when players have to worry about hurting the refs feelings both on and offf the ice. When they have to LITERRALY pay money and say "SOWWY WISTER WEFEWWE" and still have to worry about retrebutions down the line. This is how gangs operates: you bad mouth specific individuals and then you get uncalled penalities and bad call for the rest of the season.
It's not a good relationship when the broadcasters have to worrry about not hurting the pride of the NHL refs. It's a relationship where the dominant party (the offficials) has never taken accountability for the mistakes it's done. You don't even sound honest when you say it like that. We all know that if you bad mouth the refs that you don't have a job tomorrow.
The video was up quickly, the audio and video were great, the time stamps/indexing is there and even though Doug wasn't on, we got Bukes and Simmer. Great work everyone.
5 straight PP for Edmonton
3 were extremely questionable
Those Refs won't see playoffs
It was 5 back to back penalities, 2 unjustified. Wasn’t just the Josh call that was aweful.
Slafosky wasn’t boarding
"There is a sense out of Montreal" – it's not a sense. Look at the call on Slaf before. Even the refs said it was a miscall. What do we get after? 2 extremely soft calls to bring the penalties to 5-1.
Lol..all 3 losers..montreal squeezed every point lol wtf..this douchbag hasn't watch Montreal..his Leafs actually squeezed every point lol snd before these 3 stooges comment, they should watch the hole game… 5 Straight against them in a row and all marginal..you guys take the Leaf stick out your asses and try commenting truthfull
Is McDavid being called for unsportsman like if he tapped his stick?
There were 3 bad calls on mtl and definitely 2 missed calls on Edmonton late 🤷♂️
