Jonathan Toews scores his first goal as a WINNIPEG JET!

Jonathan Toews scored his first goal as a member of the Winnipeg Jets and first overall since April 13, 2023 – a span of 2 years, 189 days.

Toews became the third Winnipeg native to score a goal for the Jets since 2011-12. The others: Eric Fehr (2x; March 14, 2012 & Jan. 10, 2012) as well as Cody Eakin (March 9, 2020).

Toews (37 years, 174 days) became the fifth-oldest player at the time of his first goal with the Jets/Thrashers franchise behind Mark Recchi (39 years, 314 days on Dec. 12, 2007), Mathieu Schneider (39 years, 135 days on Oct. 25, 2008), Scott Mellanby (39 years, 119 days on Oct. 8, 2005) and Peter Bondra (37 years. 242 days on Oct. 7, 2005).
