Down on the Farm: Jacksonville Opens Their Season while Rochester Hits the Road

The Jacksonville Icemen opened their season with a pair of wins over the Greensboro Gargoyles. Scott Retzlaff stopped 38 of 39 in a Icemen’s season opening win, while Red Savage scored the game winner. Matteo Constanini picked up a pair of assists during the opening weekend festivities as well. In Rochester, Rahdim Mrtka picked up his first professional fight, while Isaak Rosen picked up another power play goal as Rochester crushed Utica 7-4 before falling to Syracuse 3-0. Devon Levi and Alex Georgiev both saw action in net for the Amerks. Zac Jones and Noah Ostlund both would recieve call ups to Buffalo following the weekend action.
