Edmonton Oilers: NOT THIS GARBAGE AGAIN

The Edmonton Oilers have now started the season 2-3-1, and are struggling in almost every part of the game. Time to blow off some steam.

  1. Not an Oilers fan, but 2 years of getting to the Cup final is a lot of hockey, so kind of a Cup hangover plus quite a few new guys trying to fit in. So at least a couple of these games were lost due to that. I'm sure they will get it going pretty soon, but in the meantime I'm enjoying every minute of their struggles.

  2. So, a serious question: What percentage of people feel like Kris Knoblauch will still be the Oilers head coach next summer? I know, I know, i hear the comments now; But but but but…its not Knobber's fault! Sure, yeah, there are other factors at play too, yup. But, doesn't it begin to feel like this team has tuned him out already? Same as they have done with every other NHL Oilers coach they have had? Dammit, I REALLY wanted Stan to grab Joel Q last summer, but instead we got the Knobby Extension…

  3. What the hell is the point of trainning camp or preseason if they arent ready to play some hockey at the start of the season???? Wish i could go to work and not perform and still have my job by the end of the day..

  4. Usually teams have a three or four year window to cin the SC. The Oilers have been top notch the past three and oh so close. Are the Oilers beginning the downhill slide to mediocrity?

  5. Bouchard is pure garbage. He still does shit my atoms coach taught me not to do as a defenseman. He has a zero hockey IQ.

  6. At this point, it's hard to believe they even want to win, refusing to get a NHL calibre goalie throughout the entire Drai /McD era.

  7. I’m gonna be honest Dolynny, the Oilers were not winning this game from the beginning. This is mainly due to the fact that the Red Wings have been on a HUGE winning streak beating a playoff team being Toronto twice, beating the previous Stanley Cup Champions the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the defending Stanley Cup champions the Florida Panthers. Ever since that horrible loss to Montreál, the entire team (especially the rookies) have been completely dominating those games. The Oilers, were up against a powerhouse today and Emmitt Finnie scoring those goals alongside Larkin just showcased that. That’s mainly for this game but for previous games, other rookies like ASP (Axel-Sandin Pellikka) have chipped in themselves and the rest of defense have been actually defending instead of laying an egg every night (thank goodness Justin Holl, Erik Gustofssen, and Travis Hamonic are not playing). Good game either way. I am a big Oilers fan myself, but no team comes close to the Red Wings. This is the result of the Yzerplan. The rookies Yzerman drafted are taking over and it’s finally about time.

  8. Knobloch doesn't discipline his players and they all cover for eachother including the coach and management.

  9. Hey buddy. Sorry but the wings shut you guys down.. Also that Larkin goal was definitely a back breaker and on skinner. Your just a Homer. Red wings were better.

  10. Team Coiler is cursed . I swear that McJesus has really… really …pissed off the " Hockey Gods" … 1st shunning the Conn Smythe ….then raising the Four Nations Cup…..and then "hoisting" after the Western Final and joking about it …..Toronto is cursed as well ….they know ……Oilers will someday

  12. The one saving grace is that the Oilers play in such a weak conference that they have a guaranteed spot in the Stanley Cup Final for the next 2-3 years.

  13. On the positive: that third line is coming together nicely–starting to cook. Third is first right now. Can the Oilers field two front lines of prime power splitting McDavid and Draistl seems to be the question right now.

  14. That's a regular thing with the oilers they never shot the puck. They always try to get the perfect highlight goals, and teams know their gameplan. Make me mad they never put the puck on goal and get some garbage goals.

  15. Yahoo the Edmonton Losers are off to a flying start. Looks great on them. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  16. I also agree that the defence was sloppy. The two top defence man, Bouchard and Nurse have to perform better. The offence was disappointing especially when it came to passing the puck, they just were not connecting and their opponent's capitalised on that to score against the Oilers.

  17. Can't blame injury, all teams are in the same boat. Connor is playing like a joke. Should bench him, maybe the team would re act. If not rebuild is on the way. If no cup this year, then what. Very sad team
