The defence have to move their men out of the front of the net so the goalie can see the puck PERIOD. Two defenders standing around puck watching 😮
I miss the old days when defencemen could push players out from in front of the net! Miss those battles. Should bring it back! How else do you defend against guys screening the goalie?!
Getting old defending Skinner. He won’t win a SC as a starter. Everybody knows this.
They leave him out to dry a lot. There are so many instances of scoring chances/shots that turn into goals simply because of the team's defensive lapses and they screw over Skinner. But then whenever Pickard is in net they tighten up so much so it feels like they're overcompensating for when they screw over Skinner. They should be defending both goalies equally. If they would defend Skinner more like they do Pickard they would make their lives easier and probably win more games
The oilers are stressful
Emberson hasnt been great since playoffs. I used to like him when he first came but hes out of position a lot and feel the left D is always compensating for him being out of position. I see him as traded with janmark this year.
