Correction: I said delay of game on Josh Anderson. I think it might have been unsportsmanlike. Either way, Martin St Louis confirmed that the refs gave him NO EXPLANATION for it lol
worst reffing i have seen in years
The Habs got jobbed tonight. It was similar to the way they got jobbed in the play-offs against Washington. Last night may have been worse, as not only were they not calling the Hab's opponents, the refs were calling the Habs, often when there was NO penalty to be had . A conspiracy? Yes, that's old news.

Don't do it Josh!!!!! And especially DON'T DO IT MARTY, PLEASE!?!?! Blaming the refs for a loss NEVER works out well for any team, ever. Maybe if HuGo hadn't either traded away or neglected to re-sign our best PK players (Dvorak, Armia, Heineman), we'd be able to fight through the odd bad call. That ain't the refs fault.

Anderson ' no call' when he was tripped shorthanded was comical in the 3rd.
I said on this page several games ago after Dobes' win against Nashville that he should start the next game. Instead they started Monty and he lost. I said after the Calgary game that he should start against Edmonton. He didn't and they lost. Bad refs, aside, Monty looked bad after we took a 5-3 lead. Nothing wrong with started Dobes back to back. His stats are off the charts. Monty's has gone from mediocre to bad. The problem is that his trade value is going down. If you wait a couple of months, his value could be worthless. Trade him now. We have Kappo and, soon Jacob Fowler. He is out of his league. A waiver wire pick up who plays well when he is #2. You send a bad message to the team if Dobes is #2. I think that Marty and Kent will do the right thing. Look, we all know that in less than a year Fowler will be up with the big club. We won't suppress him as SKA St. Petersburg did with Demidov.
Ref needs to be investigated for game fixing ….Betman will just shake his head well I don’t know aaaa looks normal to me…..Betman needs to go…ruining the game!
I said here last week that it was time to cut Kirby Dach adrift. He was a no show again tonight. If he is injured or is healed but affected by his injuries mentally, then he shouldn't be playing. I would wait a bit on Laine, though. There may be stuff that we don't know, but he is a major offensive threat. If his attitude is bad, then bye-bye and we'll save some cap space. The good news? David Reinbacher's cast should coming off very soon. And Florian Jack Eye will be called up in a few months as soon as the Habs see some improvement in his hockey play and skills.
You know how teams are always bitchin about french canadians refereeing habs games, maybe we should too, seeing someone from Medicine Hat probably a Oilers fan officiating this game is probably why this happened.
They absolutely lost because of the refs. Full stop.

Anyone who even discusses goaltending after that game is an absolute LOSER. This game was not on Monty. Don’t even @ me after that referring display.
100% they LOST BECAUSE OF THE REFS THAT IS WHAT IT EXACTLY IS. In what WORLD do you give a penalty to the team who just got scored on for doing something 95% of players do after they get a goal scored on them and removing the puck?.. NOT to mention that so many players in the league after that happens literally obliterate their sticks on the net, boards or ice and NOTHING ever gets called… yet a puck tap, these idiots call it?!… Seriously mind blowing.
Imagine needing the refs to hand you a win against a group of rookies and young kids… That is absolutely WILD. Refs must have had money on the game, this game was one of the most infuriating ones ive seen in along time AND one of the worst officiated games i have witnessed as well in along time. With the amount of gambling ads, sponsorships, etc there seriously need to be an investigation, this is getting ridiculous.
So sick of this happening in the NHL. This isnt even just related to the Habs, this is across the board in the NHL. Hell im willing to let AI run the calls at this point, it is just getting brutal.
Also 100% agreed Dobes needs to be our starter. When we need Monte to make critical saves he just isnt, and doesnt. 2 of those goals he shouldve had for sure and he just didnt. Sorry i love you Monte but Dobes needs to be our starter and even if we lose with him at this point i want him to get more time and grow because he will be our franchise goalie in the future and the more time he can get the better!

They gave Josh Anderson a penalty for icing…
It's okay Slaf took a penalty for boarding but in the replay we realized there was no boarding, and then someone took a penalty for tripping but turns out in the replay he didn't trip him and they scored on that penalty which made Anderson shoot the puck out of the net and the refs gave the 3rd and final penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, don't players do that all the time? At this point I think we need unbiased camera crews calling penalties not refs.
First of all Dobes has been given all the soft games that's why he's played better for the most part and the other thing at least 75% of the goals on Monty have been brutal fluke deflections or goals that you can't put on him at all

I'm glad that you are giving Slaf the credit that he deserves. From what i see on social media and especially Slovak press, everyone slanders him left right and center for his low point production. But if you watch the actual games, it's a whole different story and you can see that he is absolutely crucial in a lot of the 1st line goals, either by retrieving possession to setup the attack, or by shielding the goalie. Not to mention that he pretty much wins like 90% of the board battles. The 3pts in 9 don't tell half of the story …
Either it was 100% rigged OR he did more than just throw the puck down the ice to earn an unsportsmanlike. I wonder if he said anything or if the ref was warning him earlier in the game, etc. The habs were already pissed about the previous call (which was a blatant trip on Mcdavid after they had already let a trip on him go). Calling a penalty at that stage of the game was the final nail in the coffin.
Monty was not the reason we lost. The refs and a couple bad defensive breakdowns were. Almost all the Oilers goals were unstoppable. Matheson needs to get a stick on Podkolzin in front of the net. You can't just take your bottom hand off when the puck is coming in.
The Slaf penalty was the worst. But its still up to Montreal to keep Edmonton off the score sheet on the PP. The fact that they couldn't means their PK didn't do their jobs. They could of won that game so its no use complaining about the penalties. I think its pretty clear that Montembeault isn't fit for duty. He let in 6 goals. That should be the main talking point. I think its sooner rather then later that will will see Jacob Fowler with the club.

but sending Suzuki to take a defensive face off with 1 minute left on a tied game wasn’t a smart move from MSL neither considering that Suzuki was already at 22% before losing the last one

The refs need to get FIRED and go ref pee wee where they belong. Abismal refs, manipulating a game like that is straight up corruption. No place for clown shit like that in hockey.

But it's not only us Habsfans watching this.
It's also the rest of the league and their fans.
And also the Oilers themselves will rewatch and realizing how lucky they were.
Anyway my guts tell me that
MSL is able to find the right words to use this as a motivation.
We rocked last season's finalist after playing the night before.
Oilers had a 2 days break.
I take the positive out of it.
