What an attempted comeback by the Avs. Alternate unis, two of the best teams in the league, and a shootout to close it down. The Avalanche have nothing to be ashamed of for losing in this thriller of a game.
Idk how the avs are so bad in shootouts when they have so many players with crazy hands and great shots. I might just be making stuff up, I don't know what their actual shootout record is over the past year is but I swear we always lose em.

Insanely awesome game as a canes fan. If you’re a Colorado fan you now understand what it’s like to be a canes fan lol. 1 million shots to 5 shots and still lose.
Gutsy effort by canes, down at least 4 starters at high altitude and depth gets it done somehow.
Bednar picks the WORST shootout lineups, purely based on his “gut feelings” which are wrong 100% of the time.

Just FYI for anyone not watching the canes broadcast/missed the announcers saying it, the Hurricanes challenge on the 2nd Colorado goal was actually on a “missed high stick” earlier in the play. Apparently they weren’t reviewing whether or not the hand had anything to do with it, it was about 30 seconds earlier in the play. Idk tho if that’s what really RBA was challenging bc if so that’s ultra risky and kinda dumb haha
I know Carolina has a great pk but 1/8 Avs?
