  1. Put aside the bad reffing (that penalty on Slaf LOL) and another awful performance by Sam (I was defending him after the first 2 goals as I thought it wasn't his fault but I can't defend him for the other 4) I'm really happy with the Habs performance.

We totally dominated them 5v5. The Oilers had absolutely nothing on us. I would feel very comfortable playing them in the playoffs as I truly don't think they're a better team. They got the help they needed and that's about it. Bouchard was horrible tonight and I would take Dobes over him any day of the week.

Anyway, on to the next one! I'm really happy about our performance overall beside a few players (Dach, Monty, etc..) and we shouldn't let that affect our confidence.

They won on the scoreboard but they didn't beat us and that's good enough for me.

  2. Such good words from St-Louis after the game.
"They won the game but they didn't beat us"
I think that reflect this game perfectly

  3. Edmonton struggle against the youngest team in nhl and win because of emotional refs that’s crazy 😂

  4. Oiler fan here – watching the highlights only – Edmonton lucky to get points there – too many sloppy errors and the goaltending atrocious. The win has masked glaring issues which need to get addressed. I see the comments below – think Edmonton need to reflect, not wallow in victory.

  5. As much as I respect McDavid's talent, faking a tripping call twice in a single shift is totally worthy of the ''McPrincess'' nickname. Won't even talk about that Slaf's boarding call. Refs should also be called and downgraded in minor leagues when making poor decisions and not being able to get us a good and fair hockey game. Just like players are demoted everytime they don't reach expectations.

  6. Questionable reffing which cost the Habs the win. Montembault is still not a clutch, playoff goaltender and needs to relinquish starting netminder to Dobeš who has the better skills to advance. The Habs respond better when Duboš is in net.

  7. Blaming refs is a weak cop out. There was missed calls all game both sides. The only problem the couple of bad and missed calls ended the game. Montreal is looking awesome and I love to see it. I’m from Toronto and I hate the leafs so this is great to see the Canadians developing and progressing well. I do think the need a better starting goalie

  8. what teams and fans in any league has never thought they got screwed by the officiating, that's just the reality about being a fan, you get to cheer and fist pump when you get the W or boo and make excuses about getting the L, it's only 1 game of 82, things pretty much even out in the end

  9. Was a intense game forsure back & forth, but i gotta admit as an oilers fan that atleast 2 of those penalties were weak af, but it is what it is 🤷‍♂️
