  1. I like Pete, but you just have to break these guys up. Way too many "nice guys" on this team with no fight

  2. Naylor had just a good year as Bellinger did Less pop higher avg same OPS..Naylor almost hit 300

  3. Pete’s the Man at fist and for the Mets! It’s a no brainer! Make a The Polar Bear 🐻‍❄️ a lifetime Mets! Pete’s the Man! Go Mets give Pete a chance for Mets sakes! 🎉

  4. Easy to figure out somewhere else on the diamond to replace Pete's offense. CF was a complete zero last year offensively. Get a 2 way CF and im sure the combination of whoever that is and whoever is at first can make up Pete's production and upgrade the defense

  5. Pete Alonso is a 500 HR guy, a future HOFer. Not good enough for the Mets! San Francisco needs offense, badly. Pete might end up in SF.

  6. If they haven't given him options or anything by now😮 Pete should keep his pride and bounce he's not a second man, he's a leader for the team and the organization. Should have been named Captain along time ago

  7. If they bring back Pete it has to be with the understanding that he is going to have to transition to designated hitter. Alonso is the modern day version of Dave Kingman.

  8. Paid $765M for Soto and now thinking his defense in right isn’t great so in his second year of the contract considering moving him to first 🤔 how you pay 51M AAV for someone who defense is in question and they not even batting .300 🙁 then turn around and suggest Alonso not worth resigning at 30M AAV for maybe 7yrs of consistent production (home grown talent mind you)

  9. If you get a real DH who hits 35 HR. Than replace Alonso w a 1B who can throw. Youre a better team. The way he plays he's gonna get hurt. He's and older slugger. Can't field. Can't run.

  10. @snytv Juan Sota is not a defensive upgrade over alonso. We have no idea whether he can even play 1B. Its not as easy as people think with the footwork and scooping bad throws out of the dirt. Alonso scoops bad throws out of the dirt at an ELITE level and saves his infielders errors. Soto will not do that. Mark Vientos will not do that. You could go naylor and pair him with Schwarber at DH to cover alonsos bat. But we cant afford to lose Alonsos offense without replacing it with kyle tucker or Schwarber. The fans want alonso to be a lifelong Met! do it for the fans!

  11. He has not regressed defensively, he is a good 1st baseman. In 7 years at DH, he will still be a good hitter. For the next 5 years he will be a good 1st baseman. If the Mets do not re-sign him they are idiots.

  12. I think Sal and the lady are purely on the show just to troll and make tv interesting because they have no idea what they b talking about when it comes to baseball.

  13. Kyle Tucker .. outfield and offense fixed thanks to Brandon nimmos nightmare contract that’s even a need.. then call up Clifford can’t possibly throw a ball worse than Pete

  14. The one thing I see no one mentioning is Pete’s body language, head down after every strikeout, looks totally defeated most of the time, and doesn’t have the ability to fire the team up.

  15. Scott Boras is going to make this a long, drawn out process and in the end the Mets will overpay on years and money because bringing Pete back is our best and only option.

  16. If Pete wasn't on the Mets all of these "experts" would be saying "How can we get this guy to Queens NOW!? You have to go after and probably overpay for Pete Alonso." Pete is the kind of guy you want on your team. He plays everyday, he produces a lot, he is a decent at 1B, you can transition him to a good DH, and most importantly he is a good teammate, loves the city and fans, and WANTS to win…not just cash a paycheck like an Anthony Rendon type.
