Their pens are looking great right now but and I mean BUT the season is long a lot can happen let’s see how they are in December and January but they are showing a lot of promise
Let's be honest, they havent played any true competitors, or enough of them to make any kind of real observation. Its easy to look good against some not so good teams, but I could see them getting dominated and shut out by the Panthers just as easily as I could see them fight it out for a win tonight, but we'll see.
So far its great what they have done…season is long…many teams are world beaters and finish last at end of season

Good morning DK and Taylor, Dk what teams in the NHL have too many left defensemen on it? Going with what you're saying, about keeping cap space to take a contract, I thought I had heard of a couple teams that have young left defensemen that could easily make that teams roster but there's just no room(I'm guessing it was Detroit and a California team but can't be sure) In a case like this, and you happen to know the teams, is there a player you can see Dubas taking or making a pitch for? The Pens were streaky in previous years. It's highly likely that they go on a losing streak. I am not convinced that it's a playoff contender with players getting older and the young guys not looking like world beaters. Brazeau is playing crazy good and the goaltending has been stellar. There is a lot that could go wrong still. Low expectations is smart.
Hey DK, here's an idea for you on the left defense. Kyle Dubas was spotted in attendance at a Utah/Boston game. Now that could mean a lot of things, could mean nothing, but Utah is a team that seems a bit overloaded with left handed defenseman, and a bit light on the right. What do you think about a swap of Connor Clifton for either of our old friends Ian Cole or Ollie Maatta? Cole is on a one year, Maatta has three including this one. Seems like a better fit on the 2nd or 3rd pairing than a Caleb Jones?
I still don't understand why there's so much trade chatter about this team. Right now we're buyers not sellers. The record should dictate how you proceed in the trade market
