  1. Been to 23 rinks so far but I live in Pittsburgh. Fantastic viewing experience as you said. However… awful atmosphere. Lower bowl blue line to blue line is considered club seating and is $300 a ticket. Horrendous pricing all over the rink and never fills up. Not a fanbase who knows much of what’s going on either.

  2. The food at PPG has gone wayyyy downhill since it first opened. Smokehouse used to be so much better and it used to be in the upper bowl.

  3. I saw two games at Pittsburgh last season the Sabres game when Crosby hit point 1600 and Malkins 500th goal with Crosby getting the OT winner and against the flyers when Crosby tied Lemieux for most assists in penguins history. I am going back in April to see the two Florida games in Pittsburgh the back to back on Easter weekend

  4. So regarding the “dead space” towards the opposite side of the rink from where you sat at. They’re adding in a Penguins Hall of Fame. It’s a relatively late announced update and should be opening in a couple weeks or so.

Also the upper bowl seating is STEEP! I can’t sit up there after doing it last year for the NCAA basketball tournament

  5. Die hard penguins fan here, been fortunate to go to ppg paints for plenty of games and have sat pretty much everywhere except for the box suites. I have yet to have bad seats, back in my broke college days I’d settle for the standing room only section along the upper bowl. My personal favorite would be first row, upper bowl. Wish you could have experienced the old Igloo as well! If you wanna talk about unique buildings that one was very special.

  6. The Penguin beating on the drum every five minutes to try and get people to chant let's go pen's gets pretty old.

  7. I’m from Canada here I drove 10 half hours to Pittsburgh end of February to watch 2 back to back games and it’s by far the best nhl arena I’ve been in so far been in Toronto and Ottawa to watch the pens before now I can’t wait to go back especially because a home town player I played with when we were kids Justin Brazeau is playing for the penguins now

  8. I’ve been to the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto when the leafs vs Pens played in 2019, it was awesome. Unfortunately Pens lost but just the experience was amazing. We have OHL teams here which is one step below the nhl, here in Brantford Ontario we have a team called the Brantford Bulldogs, arena sits about 3000ppl, it’s amazing also.

  9. Been in Pittsburgh all my life. I had a chance as a kid to go to games at the old igloo but the legends never played in ppg. Civic arena was amazing though in the 90s- 2000s

  10. Ive sat everwhere in the arena pretty much and my fav seats are still first row second level right at the center logo. But i was recently lucky enough to watch a game with casamigos club tickets and man was that an experience. All you can eat food that was fantastic and all you can drink wine and beer. It was a terrible game we went to but the casamigos club made it enjoyable nonetheless. Ive also been to the old igloo many times and wow was that an amazing arena. I even got to attend a winter classic at the igloo with the top open. Love the new arena but boy do i miss the Igloo
