@New York Rangers

are the NEW YORK RANGERS actually a GREAT TEAM?

The New York Rangers are playing some good hockey to begin this season, and now, after having a nice comeback win over the Montreal Canadiens, maybe they can start a bit of a win streak as they head back home. In today’s video, we talk about the Rangers game against the Habs, how they’ve played to begin the season, & more.

  1. Don't do it to yourself brother , keep your expectations realistic for this team this year , they will be fighting for a wildcard , its Oct its a long season.

  2. I think we always have a chance to win every year. If we can keep the consistent play we'll be fine. Top 3 is definitely doable. Florida and Tampa both look vulnerable this year, so anything can happen. Really pleased with the play Mika, Laba and Rempe(actually that whole 4th line). Glad to see Bread finally open his account for this season.

  3. They're not a "Great" team, but they're playing hard every night with a sound dfensive structure. They need a little nore speed and I'm not sold on the third line.

  4. Not a great team, just hustling. Third line still a problem, and injuries add up. Its october!! And its a marathon not a sprint. Honesty match line for line against the top teams, no comparison. But keeping an open mind, love the effort!

  5. Did you recycle that thumb nail from 5 years ago.
    Give over T, the Rangers give the appearance of a competitive club when and only their power play clicks. And teams of course take enough dumb penalties to keep them in a game.
    Think now, how long has it been since the NYR have had two effective units of the p.p.?
    The answer is three years. Which ironiclly is when the drop in standings began. Then the Florida thing happened.
    Thus, they have faded because 5×5 we are mostly shit. The stat that counts is wins.🏒

  6. It's not a great team, but it can be a very good team. You can see how improved coaching makes a huge difference. That third line needs an upgrade for sure because as currently constituted it is offensively challenged. Robertson needs to stay in the lineup but I'm sure Soucy will replace him. Even if he is rotated with Soucy or Vaak, it gives him more playing time & enhances his development as an NHL d-man.

  7. Imagine sully as the coach for any of the past playoffs with this core…

    Mika looks like a different human entirely. He is actually forechecking. Getting physical. Same with fox.

  8. "Cup contenders" ? My word, the delusional content… If the NYR went 82-0-0 i would 0 confidence they could win the cup.

  9. The Rangers will be a decent team, with a slight chance at taking one of the wildcard slots. If anything, the Rangers should focus on player development with there younger core, then trying to win games, by giving the vets most of the prime time minutes. This is part of the reason, Lavi was fired. He did not give the young players, enough ice time to properly develop there game at an NHL level. The Rangers also did not replace Kreider properly. While I know it was frustrating as a Rangers fan to watch him play the last few years. Remember the guy did play through bad back pains during those years. It looks like during the off-season this year, it finally healed enough for him to look like his older self. He was also a special teams specialist that was elite on the PP and PK. He was also elite went it came to second chance scoring due his presence being around the net all of the time. Guys like those, aren't so easily replaced in such a short amount of time.
