Boomer, Pinder & Rhett are joined by TSN’s Jamie “Noodles” McLennan to talk about the Calgary Flames’ brutal 1–6 start to the season. With frustration growing and the Gavin McKenna talk already starting in Calgary, is it time for the Flames to go full scorched earth? Should they move out veterans like Kadri, Andersson, or Coleman and finally hit reset? The boys debate what’s next for this struggling team.

Call me crazy but I’d sign Rasmus long term and lock him up if I was conroy, add a McKenna and things would turn around quick
Most teams can only win with furious dedication to systems and detail. Even with some elite talent, this is critical or blow-outs will come regularly.
Ownership can't announce a tank. It still wants to sell tickets. You want to drop $500 for a night out with the little lady to watch a tank job? I don't think so.
Wolf will eventually find his form and bring the Flames back into the middle of no man's land.
Mission McKenna will require benching Dustin Wolf. At this moment he is just off his game. Eventually he will start stringing together wins from games this team has no business winning. We cannot afford to collect too many of those wins this year, otherwise we'll end up where we ended last season. The worst draft position of all the non playoff teams. Dustin Wolf is not going to mail it in this year to help land McKenna, so the only solution is to limit his starts and play the backup more.
Calgary, vous etes dans la merde ce soir! Les canadiens vont vous detruire! Ole ole ole ole ole! Go habs go!
Tanking will depreciate the Flames tradeable assets. Rasmus, Kadri, and Coleman, were worth more last year than they are today. Poor stats of older players will erode their market value. Connie my have already waited too long. He should have done something in the off season.
Bottom out get a first round pick. Let's go flames
Organically… NO! Trade off the vets and start rebuilding and developing our assets.
The tank will likely be forced on Calgary whether people want it to be or not. You didn't trade any of your veteran players, and you have almost the same team from last year. There is nothing you can do about it other than making a desperation trade, which they won't do. Enjoy it for what it is, no one thought we'd have a chance at McKenna. What a true game-changer he would be for this franchise.
Whatever the outcome I’m sure the Flames will screw it up
Yahoo… Decade of Darkness here we come… Hey Buffalo, San Jose, anything you can do, we can do better… All you Tankers out there, enjoy the losing just don't be hypocritical when things still suck in 5 years and complain about not being competitive.
A month ago pinder was saying there's no room on this roster for any youth to break in. Now nobody's good enough.
Mission TANKenna
McKenna isn't worth tanking for…
Nate McKinnon and Connor McDavid may have been worth it but that is about it…
See, It's just not worth stunting the growth of some of the kids you have ready to come up and shine.
You're better off calling up a few kids and letting them figure it out through line combinations because losing is difficult to get away from as that energy seems to linger no matter who's coaching or playing.
Just ask Joel Farabee; he'll tell you there is a curse or a dark cloud following this team around and I highly doubt one player or even a few new faces will make that much of a difference so figure it out with the guys you have! B
reak the Curse so winners will flock here!
Like how Rhett says…"We could be wrong but rarely are" Gtfoh haha…Love the show but thats just false😂🤣I'm just playin😜 keep up the good work Rhett and Boomer…I guess Pinder too😜
Short-term pain, for long-term gain
Yes please. Tank it.
3 more years of McDavid on the Oilers at a discount, the flamers castrated and broken, Alberta is great again
Win streak incoming
Trade WOLF to L.A!!!!!!
MTL picked up a bunch of guys in the age group, Dach, Newhook, Barron, Laine. None of these guys hit as stars, they're just there to play/grow with Suzi, Cole, Guhle ect while the drafted the talent.
I doubt they're bad enough to finish below 60 points, or whatever is needed to have the best chance at first overall/McKenna, but I'd love to be wrong.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣THE 10 YEAR REBUILD PLAN!🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧
Canucks fan here. We need to burn it down so bad I'm a little jealous that you guys are looking like you will do it first.
Cheering for your team to lose so that they can gamble on a young player who MIGHT be good in the NHL is completely asinine. It’s a total gamble.
If the Flames keep this up then they may have a chance and they’ll have earned that chance. But I’d rather they play exciting hockey like last season and win some games to give their fans something to cheer about.
If you’re of the mindset that the ONLY way for a team to improve at all is to blow it up and tank, then I only need to point to the Buffalo Sabres as a warning story about that kind of mentality.
The ONLY thing that you’re guaranteed in a tank is garbage hockey.
