I'd say it was hyped within a half hour of going live on the NHL shop site the size 54,56, and 60s were all sold out already and I believe i got in just in time to order one i took a screenshot of how many were left when I ordered and took the screenshot of the email that said thank you for your order so I really hope I don't fall into my earlier situations where they didn't know how to count their stock

It looks good but I just find it lazy when they exactly copy the old one (AGAIN). At least the Reverse Retro had Avalanche colours, a bit of personality. Whalers vs Nordiques is a great jersey matchup to be fair.
this Jersey is a thing of beauty and should be in the NHL every home game for some team . i love that even more the Whalers vs Nordiques hadn't happen sense 95 before they moved to Colorado and not just once but it will be twice . when the Predators had that blue and white checker jersey was a third and they had planned to make it their new home and had made a white jersey of it that never came out i think some was said to have gone to season ticket holders .
I think people need to let go of the disrespectful thing. Hartford and Quebec have been gone for 30 years and aren't coming back anytime soon. Is it a money grab? Well like you said there have been plenty of chances to buy one of these since 1995, so what makes this any different than any of those versions? Its a cool throwback and a chance to see a game that looks like Whalers vs Nordiques used to. I think it needs to just be left as simple as that. Just enjoy a fun throwback and move on.
Love it. Ordered one immediately–before they sold out–while wearing my Nordiques Forsberg rookie year sweater, and got a Makar to match my 2021 Reverse Retro Makar (so I sorta have home and away?). As a New Orleans resident, any jersey with Fleur de Lis is special. I don't understand the "this is disrespectful argument, so maybe you should do an explainer video on that subject–I see this as an homage, not an insult.
Ironically I used to be both a Nords/Whalers fan here and I still have my CCM originals, so the jersey acquisition doesn't touch me here. But it's a logistical nightmare in which team I want to win though. I don't what to do right now as mind is in a brain lock right now. I could've never of foreseen this in 1995 here in the future here?! Kind is blank right now.
This feels like inviting your ex to your anniversary party….don't love using the Quebec branding for a 30th anniversary celebration. I do like that they continue to celebrate the history, I like the jersey overall, but this wasn't the time for it. Feels like a gut punch for a fan who wanted a 30th anniversary Avalanche jersey

The âdisrespectfulâ question only really comes in with the retired numbers of the Nordiques. To a lot of QuĂ©bec fans it is not okay to see retired numbers on a Nordsâ jersey.
Is it blasphemy to get an avs player name on it if so Imma buy it blank anyway.
