Demidov-Kapanen-Bolduc should be the play.
Sorry to say it but Monty is a back-up, not a starter.
What's frustrating about this fanbase is that they don't allow for mistakes and development. People forget that we have the youngest team in the NHL, so players are bound to make errors, especially on defense. I worry that because of the success we saw last year, the fanbase will try to speed up the rebuild, trading sustainable growth for short-term success. Sometimes, giving a young player too big a role slows down their development.
Hutson out there looking like 2023-24 Mike Matheson the way he can’t make a single fucking pass to his right side
Marty needs to give up on Gallagher and Montebeault. He needs to FULLY commit to the younger talent. He needs to have some RESPECT for Arber… STOP knee-capping his confidence, you old fool! However, I agree on Struble being full-time. Lastly, Matheson should be traded. #GHG

I am sick and tired of Marty St Louis bias and favouritism with some players. Arber Xhekaj has been mis coached since Marty’s arrival. Arber makes a mistakes he is benched. Mike Matheson makes a mistake he gets more icetime. I know Hughes and Gorton see this and have probably talked to Marty about it but it’s time PE he was told that if we want to be successful, we need guys like Arber in the line-up and playing regular minutes. He will get better with experience and games played. In case Marty didn’t notice, the Rangers took over last night by using their physicality. They are a big team, we are not. We need Xhekaj, Struble, Anderson, and Another rugged tough player like Deslauriers or Olivier in the line-up. These guys are there to create space, and protect Hutson, Caufield, Suzuki, and Demidov. Protect your assets. Marty is over rated. Time to move Matheson, if teams are asking, and either straighten out Marty or get rid of him. We are not winning a coach with a soft coach.
Struble is not outplaying Xhekaj. He is being ice-time. He is not In Marty’s dog house. St. Louis is the most over rated kindergarten coach in the NHL.
Caufield needs to score goals, so he passes less. Demidov passes more.
Here’s the problem whenever they get the lead they take their foot off the gas, they need to learn that killer instinct get that 3 goal and rangers would of quit, the body language was obvious.
Monty is inconsistent, also the pace after the first two goals went down, you cant have that especially with an experienced line Rangers has… another lesson was given , hope they are learning and pick up for the next game
This lineup sucks, that's just reality, everyone overrates players here. They have no second center, they have no 3rd center, they have 3 4th lines… Stop overrating this crappy lineup in this fanbase. Don't worry maybe they wil ltrash Buffalo and rack up points for 14,13,20,48 like they did all of last year with 3pts each + per game… This was an ez win 2 – 0 and lose. Sad.
Monty has been quite shaky so far this year. Dobes should get a bit more starts until Monty gets back into the right mind space
Montembault was put on waivers for a reason. Florida goes and wins 2 cups, 3 finals all investing in a 10M$ goaltender.
If Ghule was on the table for Mctavish type player, we should pull the trigger
Demidov absolutely needs to be on the first power play line move bolduc or slafkovsky down to the second. Last season liane was a beast on the powerplay why not move laine back with Hutson, it work last year. Even if it means on the second powerplay unit, Dobson can be moved tonthe first… the good thing about this team, there are so many great options to tinker with, not exactly a bad thing.

kapanen beck veleno for defense , 4th line for defense, and first 2lines for offense.
Slaf has no business on the 1st line or 1st PP. Give it to DEMIDOV. Our real goalie is currently in Laval (which is fine, let him cook). Ghule, is too fragile. We should explore ways to get rid of him in a trade.
The 1st power play should be : Hutson, Suzuki, Demidov, Caufield, Slafkovsky.
Dobes will be our starter. Monty is a good backup tho.
Struble is 10 times better than Arber

Montreal will go nowhere without a great goalie. Montambeault is a good goalie but not great and he gives up at least one soft goal each game. The book on him is go high.

When Dach and Laine return, the 2nd to 4th lines should be:
Bolduc – Dach – Demidov
Newhook – Kapanan – Laine
Anderson – Evans – Gallagher
We don't need more offense. We're scoring over 3 goals a game. We need a goalie that can stop the puck. Montembeault is not that guy. He's never been that guy
Dach is a better Center than Newhook. 2nd line should be Bolduc, Dach and Demidov.

Sorry but both Demidov and Hutson are the most skilled players on this team! Got to have him on the first power play and part of the 6 when your goalie is out! Having him on the bench is travesty! Same as in OT! This guy thrives with open ice! He’s got to be used more! I don’t care with MSL philosophy over he’s a rookie and needs to earn it! He’s there already! He’s a generational talent! Let him do his thing!
The powerplay units have to utilize a player in the bumper that can shoot and be creative with the puck. Did see a mention in another podcast that Bolduc cheated on defense and that help lead to Robertson's goal. Also, I think Arber should have been more physical in his bout vs Carrick and since Carrick was not put down hard, might have help give the Rangers a spark. Demidov needs to be better utilized with the right linemates and powerplay.

These comments are hilarious – calm down people – the team is off to a better start than anyone could have hoped for…the lines are great, sure Monty could play better, but life is good right now for the Habs….keep it up boys!
