Kings captain Anze Kopitar has announced his retirement following the 2025-26 season, his 20th in the NHL. He cited a desire to be more present for his family as a reason for his decision. Kopitar has had a successful career, winning two Stanley Cup titles and multiple trophies. He made the announcement at a press conference after the Kings’ training camp.
