Hey Michael brother, another fantastic report, I really appreciate it!
The Leafs should have either traded Robertson or give the kid a real shot in the top 6. The Leafs are infamous for misusing their prospects by having zero room for them where the teams have been stacked with veterans, and never leaving openings for their young talent, and they either bring them up to replace an injured player and these young talented players know they have to make a huge impression with what little time they get, and many youngsters over do it and end up flailing.
Nick is that player. He has real talent and a great, often sneaky shot as he almost fires pucks like baseball pitchers put the stank on pitches and the really good pitchers can make the ball change trajectory near the plate throwing batters off.
Nick's shots are incredibly fast and sometimes it looks as though the puck makes trajectory changes also.
I believe if Nick gets on a young team where he can be the top talent, or close to it, on a top line he could be a 30 to 40 goal scorer, he has the raw talent and all he needs is a fair shot.
Unfortunately the Leafs still have little time for their own home grown talent.
Having said that, after watching all Leaf games to date it's clear to me they are a much, much better team than they appear to be in the early going.
Give them a chance to get used to each other, as multiple new bodies were brought in and I believe "Tree" has done a Jack Adam's job in putting together a third and fourth line that are big, physical and can pot goals!
It was the bottom six on the Panthers who did all the damage, the top talent were smothered and relentlessly pursued to where they did very little scoring, it was the bottom six.
This is what "Tree" is trying to emulate and I believe he's done a fantastic job. Once this team gets lineups worked out and they have a chance to play over a long period of time, we'll see what a really talented team can accomplish!
Sadly, Robertson wasn't given a legitimate shot and as a result when he did get into the lineup he overdid it and just looked lost at times, and he also had flashes of true talent!! He needs to be on a young up and coming team to flourish and make the Leafs regret handling him poorly.
I wish Nick all the success and joy wherever he ends up going.
I suspect Pittsburg will be interested and that would be a great fit for Robertson.

I'm glad you brought up the Jays. Most of us are sports fans, Baseball included. Something that hasn't happened in 32 years is worth mentioning. The Spence/Lee play was painful to watch; he was beaten like a rented mule. He's gotta get better there.
Sens need some juice! First thing, get rid of the GM Staios. One bad trade after another. He was a solid 4th line guy when he played, maybe he took one to many punches to the head, but his evaluation of talent is questionable. They need to stop screwing around on the trade market for AVERAGE guys and get their young prospects in there. Start with the positive…Jensen and Cozens. I like the trades and they are much needed. Spence wasn't needed (gave up draft picks for him). Yakemchuck is ready and the Sens continue to bury him in Belleville..why?!? Zetterlund is OVERRATED and OVERPAID (traded a 2nd rounder for him). I get he is fast, but he is not a game changer, 3rd liner at best. The MacEwen for MacDermid trade was useless. Belleville has a bunch of guys that could fill MacEwens role, why trade him for a slug? Could have traded MacEwen for a pick and promoted Tyler Boucher. We need juice on the team…give the boys in Belleville a promotion!
Sens have no depth at any position other than center and maybe in a few years the right side D. Zetterlund is no longer an NHL player since the trade to Ottawa, he should be sent to the minors if a trade can't be worked out. Jensen is not in game shape and won't be here next year, so why keep him? The Sens have no consistent scoring wingers other than Tkachuk and sometimes Batherson. The goaltending is very weak and there is something definitely not right between the ears of Ullmark both on and off the ice. Other than that, things are great.

If the Sens are trading for a goaltender, it should be a veteran to work alongside Ullmark. I referred to this in my Sens season preview video: I didn't understand why they didn't get a proven backup in Alex Lyon. It would have commanded no more than 2m to sign with the Sens and allowed Leevi Meriläinen to cook in the AHL as a bona fide number 1 for a season for more experience. Meriläinen could be another young goaltender that Ottawa seems to ruin or give up on, say, Dacord and Gustavsson, to name two, with Bishop and Mandolese being two more. You have to be careful with goaltenders not to stunt their growth and ruin their confidence by giving them too much too soon. Another great video, as always, mate. Please, I hate that people call the Jay’s « Canada’s team ». I am not a fan of baseball, I hate it actually.. so boring to watch, playing the game is almost on the same level as curling (sorry to curlers) and corn hole. Just stick to hockey on this channel.
Ottawa needs a solid right shot d man that has some size,Connor Murphy.They also need an upgrade on the second line left wing.They would have to make trades for both.I have confidence in Staios,he is not like Dorion.Rasmus Anderson is the other right shot d I would consider.Brady is out for a while so now is the time to make a move.

Spence has been good. The Islander goal would have beaten Cabot, Jensen and Zub, Lee made a hell of a move. Only D that could have stopped it, maybe would be Kleven and Sandy.
ya ok, the Sens are not going to ever get their hands on Levi 🙄..and as a true Canadian?? I was super upset the Jays won ..I sure hope the Dodgers get it done in the World Series but the Jays deserve to be there no matter what, they staged a comeback for the ages in that Mariners series
