  1. I was really concerned that the Red wings were headed toward an 0-6 start after losing opening night.. but this team looks good so far. I think Finnie has played at a level that justifies him being in the NHL even if he doesn't have his own goal yet, The other two rookies, ASP and MBN both again are yet to score but are providing benefits that the Red wings have sorely been lacking the last few years, especially as it applies to aggressiveness in the offensive zone and possessing the puck more than plain defense (with the exception of the second Toronto game). Mason Appleton might just be the best value contract in the NHL this year if he even keeps up half of what he's manage so far and Cat hasn't gotten going either. I can't wait for April

  2. Nice work Awood. Always appreciate the resource you provide.

Who had Appleton on their bingo card?

  3. It makes me sad not seeing any feeds with Mickey Redmond at all so far. Happy for another Wings win though!

  4. Always good the Panthers. The bullies of the League.
Always good to beat Marchand. One of the dirtiest players to play.

  5. So far a good start with the Red Wings. So happy and proud. 🙂☮️❤️✨✝️🙏🏾🏒🏒❤️🤍❤️🤍 #LGRW. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

  6. I like what I’m seeing. Still early in the season but 3 in a row is no joke in this league. This is the type of game they would’ve found a way to lose last year.

  7. I’ve said this before but it’s so cool how the players salute the fans at the end of the games. Classy move Detroit.

  8. I enjoyed watching the game. There were sections of the game that Florida dominated, but the wings were able to weather it. Florida isn't at full strength, but it was a great game for the wings.

The wings were pretty physical (by their standards.) Better defense. Lots of individuals going the extra mile. The passing has definitely jumped up a notch. I'd say probably the thing that popped out most for me was how many quality scoring chances the wings had throughout the game. And many of those at even strength which has been a huge weakness for multiple years.

I heard that the coach took the captain and assistant captains aside after that first game. I think this is very smart. The coach will always be the coach, but making changes from within the team is how you build true change. How you build camaraderie. And it's that camaraderie that will drive individuals to give that extra effort… help them get through when they have a downturn later in the season. I think this is a critical aspect of turning that rebuild corner with some speed.

It was great to see Appleton have such an impact over the last couple of games. Yzerman's free agent signings have been a bandaid trying to fill spots while the drafted players mature. It's great to see one of the free agents have a nice impact.

I'm excited for this year. I don't know if I'll be able to watch every game, but I'm sure going to try to.

  9. The Wings looked… good. Not like a bunch of good players or a hot top line, but actually a good team. I like it

  10. This game seemed like watching a little league scrimmage. It was 'just' a game. X amount of time going by.
The cats dominated puck control in every corner and every one on one battle. They seemed to dominate the body as well.

I'm thankful for the W, but it felt strange and there was really no standout play.

The number one spot is nice though. And the cats still ride dirty…
The leg sweep on Kasper and the dirt on Seider in the corner. There needs to be a bit more aggressive response from the wings.
Or better calls by the refs.

There's not a smoother set of hands than kane's!

  11. Wouldn’t it be something if the wings played Florida in the first round of the playoffs this year or one of the rounds and eliminate the defending back to back champs and a being a team entering the playoffs for the first time in a decade and then eliminating a back to back Stanley cup winning team would be insane.

I know they could do it red wings looking legit right now GO REDWINGS
