We’re just not putting enough pucks on net. Today was better than the first 3 of the road trip.. but we’re often looking for the perfect pass instead of just putting the puck on net and creating more possible rebound opportunities.
Also, changing the beginning of the season lines after the Philly Loss really set us back a bunch. We went 3 and 1 with those lines, and have now changed our lines every game since, looking worst every game to boot.
Our 1st powerplay unit is terrible also, victims of looking for the perfect pass, and not taking enough shots from the blue line. As soon as the 2nd unit is in, Mackie and Verhague are putting pucks on net from any angle on the ice. Even Petry takes shots from the blue line, creating opportunities, like the Lundell redirection.
