  1. Korpisalo is a NHL #2 goalie. That’s not shade. Being a #2 NHL goalie means one is among the top sixty goaltenders on the planet.
That said, I want to push back against what Court is preaching, here.
“Rotating” goaltenders is fine during the month of October, but let’s be clear and open-eyed about this: if the Bruins are playoffs-bound in 2026, it will undoubtedly be predicated on above-average consistent goaltending performances from #1 Swayman.

The upcoming roadtrip (3 games in a 4-day span) is exactly the situation where Boston wants Korpisalo to step up and “steal” one. That’s necessary for a team to remain playoff-viable during a long 82-game grind.

However, whenever the schedule has 3 games in a 7-day span, I want to see all Swayman on the ice, with Korpisalo casually earning millions by opening/shutting the bench door.

  2. I would like to see a line swap on the d side and have Harris with zadorov just to see what happens. I think if sway plays good against Vegas I say he will play the back to back against the avs. Because eventually he’s going to have to play back to back why not try it early when you can work on the kinks if you need too and against too great teams because down the line what will happen if Korpi gets hurt or starts being really bad and sway has to take on more and more

  3. My daughter wears 88 because of Pasta … I cannot WAIT to be one of the first to buy his jersey with the "C" on it for her.

Can you believe that dude was drafted 25th overall? That absolutely blows my mind.

  4. Pasta on pace to win the Hart and the Vezina…..Thats my captain LOL

Also would love to see Khusnutdinov get bumped to the 3rd line and Jeannott to the 4th. I think his speed would work great with Minten and Essymont

  5. Great post.
    You nailed it again.
Pasta is doing it all. His passing and set ups are particularly good.
Arvidson- better than i thought. McAvoy – calm down and play your game. Z-keep it simple and punish guys in front of the net. Peak – steady, quiet, I'll take it. Harris- looks good. Jeanot-meh. Rotate those goalies and Lohrie- late bloomer ,will take a big step this year. Hes a keeper.
Lindholm- injury prone? Not at all. We all seen what happened to Kevan Miller and he was tough as nails. I think everyone's just a little nervous. Go Bruins.!!!
    Thanks for the post. !!

  6. Court – assuming you missed the Sabers game, I believe the Bruins outshot them 17-2 in the first period. For me, that's the best they looked so far this year.

  7. Your Vid was excellent as always but whats with the Blue Backlights on your shelves? A homage to the Jays maybe? I hope so cause it's not a good look otherwise. lol

  8. I have to wait, before I can make my decision. Around Thanksgiving we’ll have a better idea of what we are dealing with. My concern is if you name Pasta as Captain, how does McAvoy respond to that. Pasta has been a Bruin longer so he should have the edge. I’m optimistic but I still see some reason for concern.

  9. We didn’t know that these guys really bought into Marco Sturm’s system and it shows! I was surprised Pastrnak was not named Captain!

  10. It is only 4 games, and I like what I am seeing. I didn't expect the wins so quick, considering lines 2, 3, & 4 are all new. I think you will see Jeannot, and the Bruins be more aggressive on this road trip. I even liked the game they lost, because they didn't give up,.They
.made their opponent work hard for their win. Something they didn't do last season. I am very optimistic, "{Go Bruins" !
    .

  11. 3:40 idk man I've watched Zadorov for a long time, when he chooses to lead the rush for some reason, he suddenly turns into Erik Karlsson. It's far too rare and too small a sample size to really amount to anything, but every once in a while the big tree makes some magic happen coast to coast.

  12. Sorry but I still think Lohrei belongs in the minors. There was a tip in where he could have tied up the Lightning stick but he just stood there, watching. I'm sure the majority were blaming Korpisalo, just because he's Korpisalo but it was more on Lohrei. Not sure what he was thinking, maybe contemplating what toppings to get on his pizza after the game, I don't know. But it sure wasn't about how he should be tying up the wide open man in front of the net.

  13. Need to temper the good start with a look at whom they have beat. Washington, Chicago, and Buffalo are not top tier teams. Tampa would have been a good win, however TB capitalized on extremely bad play early and weathered the Bs attempt to come back against their backup goalie. Vegas, Colorado, and Utah a good barometer going forward. I expect 3 of 6 points. Swayman should start 2 of 3 of these games.

  14. I was at the home opener and the Tampa game. Seeing the new break-in strategy of carrying with speed instead of trying to enter flat-footed, is such a big breath of fresh air. I've noticed that the whole offensive strategy seems to be built around Pasta, and the defensive strategy around Hammer and Zadorov's individual strengths, which I think Mac's game also includes parts of and which makes him a great player.
Jeannot has been pleasantly involved when he's on the ice. Still not a fan of his contract, but he's been far from useless out there- he's doing some of the stuff you don't focus on during the game.
Korpi's play gets better through the game, including multiple huge saves that bail out the team in front of him. He and Lohrei have been my biggest surprise because they're so unknown as to what they can be. Lindholm can be that top 6 C that scores 60-70 points while focusing all other efforts on being defensively responsible.
As for Minten, he's slowly becoming my favorite player on the ice. He's fast, got a wicked shot, nice hands, and you can tell he's got a high hockey IQ, because you can tell what he's going for even if it doesn't work out. I think we see him elevated in the lineup with PP time, possibly in the wing, and maybe a stint on Line 2, if he can get better at the dot.
Overall, I was very happy with what I saw, even though we do see them falling into old habits, I have faith that Marco can get them back to focusing on the new system and away from those old habits that lead to pucks in their own net

  15. Pastrnak literally saved 2 empty netters on that shift, the save and the hit on kuch threw him off enough he flubbed the pass. I love Chuck but this feels like the biggest no brainer of a captaincy choice.

I also cut Lohrei some slack for last season, i don't think any one was prepared to lose our top two dmen, and he was kinda thrust into that top pair role and he clearly wasnt ready.

  16. If Jordan Harris was born in Moose Jaw Sk he would be viewed diffrently. We give way to much love to locals just because theyre local.

  17. i thought the best part of the game was pasta making the street hockey save and laying out kucherov. wow. i wonder what certain 98.5 yappers thought about it.

  18. I am fine w Bruins resting Hampus. it's early, and no sense rushing a knee injury.
I am, however, cranky about the Bruins ALWAYs starting slow. There's NEVER a big ENERGY jump at the beginning of games. Letting other teams dictate pace of game is bad. I'd like to see maybe starting the 4th line for a game or two and seeing if some energy can do some good?

  19. Great analysis and I think it is bang on. Figure out the penalties early and hit the ground running in games
