I believe in this group of players but this has been the worst hockey I’ve watched in years. Fix it now
team gives up 5 goals every game. time to wake up coach. Multiple breakaways every game time to start focusing a bit more no? Defense was this teams strong suit last year, now its pitiful wakey wakey.
Pinto is the lone good part of this team right now

They should be interviewing Spence he's the one who cost us the game which is unfortunate cause he's been great but this was his first big mistake as a Senator we were one minute away from getting at least a point…….ONE! Oh also Sens had 22 giveaways in this game their passing is atrocius. PK was better but overall just be smarter with the puck jesus lol
Not the worst game of hockey. Happy to see some parts of the game, which have been worked on for months now, are really clicking. Don't think we've seen a full 60 yet from this group though — this isn't their best. But I was worried about how the team would look without Brady, they played some shaky games without him last year for the first time, and I like what I see. Probably too horny for goals though, lol. Think there's a bit of a culture moment happening with so many guys' jobs being about goal production (forwards and d) and the focus has shifted. Bit of a misplay from Steady Steve there too, if we're pointing fingers. But it's really early in the season, like that can't be overstated. Yea it wasn't the best camp, yea there are injury/lineup issues, but at least we're not watching trap hockey. How many games last year did we beg to see a single goal let alone 4? The group has already made adjustments to the PK — next step will be in preventing all these defensive breakdowns. Can't let your goalie face that many high danger shots, let them pad their stats with some softies as well.

The players are sacrificing team defense for offense, all the summer long the players heard the fans saying we need to score more goals, we need to increase our 5v5 scoring instead of focusing on playing good defense hockey. This team is not built for winning games 6-5,this team is built to win games 3-2 and they need to get back to that, just like they were doing last season.
Lee opened Spence up like a cheap can of tuna. The kid just doesn't have NHL strength. Terrible 2 goals allowed by our philanthropist and hugger in the 3rd too. Just sub-NHL goaltending, again.
