This was tough to watch as the Sabres were asleep the first 15 minutes in this game just for starters but overall still played good enough to win..but it was not to be as the Rangers blank them 4-0 to start their season on a sour note..thanks for watching 😎

Nobody looked like they had no energy tonight. Very disappointing.
Here we go again. I know It's game one…I loved the fight but Roam… There is not enough offensive talent on this time. Moreover, they don't have the size or teeth to be a gritty team to beat you up during a rally. I have given so much time watching this team…. I love rough…i love buffalo. But I'm not watching this group this season. From Goaltending to special teams, the NHL caliber skill is not there outside Tuch and Dahlin.- G

The season is over already. We haven't even hit November. Absolute pile of shi_. I am finally done. Has been Lindy, Marty Wilford should have been fired the day after he was hired. Adams needs to go. Enough is enough. People need to stop buying tickets…this is unbelievable! Always an excuse. This was a must win and they didn't even score a goal. Sell the team!!!!!
I know there is injuries but it’s very discouraging seeing another season opener with Bryson Samuelsson and Johnson on the blue line and for years now you can tell they have no clue how to improve the power play they have been bottom of the league for years now all I think for 1 season

Looking forwards, At least Sabres fans have McKenna playing for Buffalo in about 2-4 years from now but the NHL will most likely rig the lottery so better luck next time…in Atlanta or Quebec? Well it’s nice to see Cozens scoring for the Senators… a power play goal , really you don’t say…good for him !

Sign guys who won't hit, sign guys who can't win faceoffs, the goaltending situation proves his incompetence, honestly the teams past few season records prove his incompetence, the entire staff needs to be nukes, & not wait half a season or a full season to do so
INJURIES: Lord Kesselring, Benson, Power, UPL. You're starting a backup goalie with a lot of new guys on the roster with 1/3 of your D-Core out injured against a Rangers team that has to win can't fall to 0-2. This game was in reach until the 3rd period. Positives are Samuelson and Timmins look decent. I would roll the dice on Colton Ellis in game 2. See what that kid has. Although Lyon played good enough for the Sabres to win this game 👍 🏒
Zero intensity to start, played nervous. I put that on coaching. Also, all these injuries – way to go Lindy with your “ hard “ training camp.

That looked like a last place performance to me. I hope I’m wrong. This team has shades of the Reinhart Eichel ORielly team that grossly underachieved then split the next few years. It’s a long season and at this rate it’s getting to be a joke. 4-0 is a brutal loss.
last year it was the europe trip. what is the excuse this year. I've seen no difference. they just did not look ready.
It's game 1. Game 1. The Rangers were shutout and rusty their opening night and looked completely different last night. I must have watched a different game. Other than the powerplay I don't think they looked THAT bad.
About what I expected. I have next to zero expectations for this season

Should we be skeptical of the sabres "medical staff". Not letting eichel get his surgery, advising the team Norris was a good investment. What is going on with this team
If Norris shoulder is injured again, adams and medical staff should be immediately fired.
Great opener by the Sabre's! Really? getting shut out at home first game of the year?. The team showed absolutely no improvement over last year. Same effing softness ( i really can't stand watching Samuelsson's powder puff style of play) no real offensive threat and like you said, dead power play ability. Nothing impressive from the new guys and older guys alike. Rob Ray kept hoping for a fight between Rempe and Geersten, I'm glad that didn't happen because we would have lost the fight along with the game too – same old shit.
Wayne , this team in a nutshell: average goaltending , defense one player DAHLIN , the other’s average and not physically strong , offensive THOMPSON, TUCH , and extremely impressed with young DOAN , NORRIS good player but can’t be counted on , do to constantly being injured. ADAMS has killed this team by not doing enough to get help on goaltending , on offense , and not using BYRAM as a trade to get help on offense or goaltending . The Sabres have lots good young defenseman prospect , KOMAROV MURTKA , NOVIKOV , and are close to be NHL regulars , why not make a trade with BYRAM , SAMUELSON for a forward to help scoring . ADAMS is on absolute clown , acts as if he has a lifetime contract in order to build this team , how is it a GM who played in the NHL not know what it takes to build a competitive team . Needs , two FORWARDS to play with THOMPSON, a GOALTENDER, bring up the three young defenseman mentioned , and use POWER , BYRAM, SAMUELSON to get help in goal and at forward. BRYSON is a seventh defenseman in the NHL young JOHNSON not ready for the NHL . LONG SEASON AHEAD , UNLESS MOVES ARE MADE .
