  1. If Jagr was open to it, the Rangers should hire him in ANY capacity to help the team with their shooting and offensive creativity.

  2. It was a very long 7 years without playoff hockey before Jagr put up 54 goals and 123 points to carry us back to the playoffs.Him and our young goaltender Lundqvist made us believe again. Thanks for the memories Jaromir

  3. I remember going to Mark Messier's retirement ceremony back in 2006. Rangers vs Oilers. The pregame ceremony was incredible. The Garden was so loud, cheering for him and the 94 teammates that came to celebrate his accomplishments. Jagr scores the game winning goal in OT that night. The Garden erupted again! That was the best hockey game I've ever attended!

  4. I loved Jags even when he was with the Penguins and I hate that team. Jagr will always hold a place in my heart for helping put this team back on the map. He deserved the Hart trophy in 05/06.

  5. Jaromir, please come back and play for us. We need your prolific scoring, especially on home ice. Lol

  6. Wow, Swedes are so Westernized that they don't understand what it's like to live in a country where communism flourished and the country lived in its own bubble.

  7. Hell not even a rags fan but a Sabres fan and I remember his rangers years super well. We obviously faced each other in 07. But that 05-06 season in general was my favorite season of hockey ever. Jagr still destroying the league, Crosby and ovechkin arriving and my Sabres were amazing. Crazy how jagr was scoring that much in the late 90s and early 2000s. Really is amazing. Plus jagr was in what year 15 then and was playing like he was 24 and in his all time prime. Amazing year for hockey.

  8. Doufám,že Jarda správně investoval do tanhable a digital assets ,aby z něho po ekonomickém krachu biblických rozměrů ,který přichází nebyl chudák…😊snad nemá moc peněz v bankach 😊😂😂

  9. Americans , Canadians, look at us players from Europe, this is how you should be and act and put yourself forward, instead of the cocky attitude "we are best, we are strongest, screw europe players" mentality that is still very rooted in NHL.

  10. To me as a business manager, Jágr is a great inspiration and motivation with his approach and mindset even though in totally different area then Ice hockey❤👍

  11. For me as a Czech, 2005/06 season was the first season I started "watching" NHL as a 11 year old kid. And Jágr was one of the reasons I became Rangers fan that year. And it wasn't just him, in that season and the following one there was about 7 more Czech players – Průcha, Straka, Ručinský, Malík, Sýkora, Rozsíval and Rachůnek. But at that time our local TV broadcasted only like one NHL game per night, so there wasn't even chance to see every NYR game and of course at 11 years and with our country being 6 hours ahead my parents wouldn't let me watch games after midnight. So I became fan through the NHL PC game until I was around 16-18 when internet streams became a thing and I could already watch most of the games and spend countless nights cheering for this team. Crazy to think that as 100th NYR season starts that I've been Rangers fan for a 20 years already.

  12. Jagr was my favorite player of all time, I watched him from a rookie all through out his career. It's really unfortunate that he missed 4 years from the NHL, could have been 400 more points added to his career total. I really miss watching him play, but I am always happy to see interviews here and there, to see how's he doing. An incredible talent and person that I always admired.

  13. From today's Czech press: ,,After 229 days, Jaromír Jágr returned to the extra-league game. The legendary 68 jumped into the 38th season in professional hockey and at the age of 53 again set the records of the competition. He spent more than ten minutes on the ice, came out without points, but celebrated an important win."

  14. btw. Jagr just played yesterday (17th Oct,2025) his first game in his 38th season as a pro in top division league (Extraliga, Kladno v. Vitkovice 3:1)… just sayin'….

  15. First NHL Stanley Cup final on Czech TV was Boston – Edmonton 1990, but otherwise Jagr is right.. Only contact to the NHL from our communist isolated country was through Canaca Cups. Nothing else. And finals 91 and 92 were also important, we enjoyed young Jagr was part of it.
