  1. The goaltender interference mess is crazy. Vancouver's 2nd and 3rd goals looked both like it, but not called. Caps played horrible 1st period and not taking away from Canucks, but this mess needs to be cleaned up.

  2. Canucks are unlucky to be lucky enough to win this one. They are on track to just miss the playoffs, see Hughes leave, and get the #15 overall 2026 draft pick.

  3. That goal with no goalie equipment unfortunately happens a lot. Canucks have seen it many times, apparently it is a poorly worded rule that does not state a goalies gloves being off is a stoppage of play in the way a helmet coming off does. The rule specifies Mask/helmet
And please correct me if I am wrong about it, just what I remember hearing in a past explanation

  4. A tremendous effort by the Canucks – 3rd game in 4 nights and down 2 forwards for half the game. Wilson's hit was a cheap shot – an interference penalty at the most optimistic Washington perspective, but should have been 5 minutes. Too bad they had to just concentrate on winning the game instead of providing some pay-back. Hopefully a Canuck will put a shoulder into Wilson's chin when they come to Vancouver.
