Four hours later and I still get to say first.

As a Wings fan…I’m not so worried about the 5v5 numbers. IF the PK can stay decent…it was God awful last year, and the PP can stay solid (which it should when you can roll out Larkin, Raymond, DeBrincat, Kane, and Seider together), they’ll be fine. I’m just glad that ASP, and JBD make the D core look LOADS better than it was last season with Petry and Holl. I think a lot of people thought the Wings needed to do more in the offseason…myself included. I don’t think people factored the rookies in. We’ll see how it plays out. I also think McClellan having a full off season and training camp has helped.
It’s only 3 games
It’s encouraging but it’s just 5 games in . Im definitely happy with what I see but we need a good bit more . Still live or die go Wings
Early sample size but the Appleton signing is looking like a genius move, a rare W from the Wing pro scouts.
Its just 5 games but it feels different. The lines are good. The pairings are good. The youth has energized the team. They are winning close games against good teams expected to be at the top of the east (Toronto, Florida and Tampa).
