As a Rangers fan, this attitude seems to be similar in the “WAY big market” teams with “hard media” – that snarl doesn’t seem to be of the aristocratic nature of the multi-billion dollar franchises in the nhl

I've seen guys in the 9th tier of football (soccer) stick up for their teammates. HARD. Because they care. Marchand does what he does, because he wants to win, and if he's not winning, he's angry, but still, he's not gonna let you push him around, because he CARES. The leafs are the heaviest team right now aren't they. Heaviest for what??! For this?
The NHL should be scare of a heavy team but no one is, apart from the Leafs being scared of themselves. And incidents like this show you why.
