This team needs a top 6 player in the worst way . Man Mitch looks awesome in Vegas … over a point a game … oh yeah we had him . And y’all wanted him gone lol. The downfall for the leafs was getting rid of him and not getting anyone in meantime. They better get a top 6 who can move the puck asap , or we will be fighting for the playoffs mark my words.

So far Treiliving is showing he can’t build a team just like he did with Calgary. He’s now lost two massive super stars in marner and tkacuck. This team is slow, soft, and old.

Stolarz might just be a good fit for the Toronto fan base… I think he has the ability to get the fans going. He needs to be more animated more often. I think if he gets his adrenaline going it will give the team a boost by getting the fans going. The arena really needs that. Part of the issue is the leafs style of play. People don't like watching a defensive style of game. It's more entertaining when guys drive the net. The fan base hates passive play. That's why a lot of ppl like Laughton, Lorenz and Knies.
Yeah….I would like to know why Carlo did that man…very weird. It looked intentional. He hammered him in to Stolarz . I have never seen a play quit like that before . The passive play overall with Carlo could be bc of Reilly …he has been pinching more so they need Carlo to stay back a bit and in position bc Rielly has been thinking offense more.

Problem is defence that can’t move puck. OEL, McCabe and Reilly are all LHD and can move puck Ok but only McCabe is good defensively. Beloit needs to be benched or traded and bring up RHD Benning. Tanev and McCabe are our top D pair but we have no one as dynamic as the best D man on practically every other team in the league. Our D are mostly big and meh speed and puck moving wise.
I was meh on Carlo trade at time and hated the Laughton trade. See my athletic comments. I also hated the foligno and RoR and multiple Boosh trades. I would have preferred keeping Liljegren and Timmins who both can move the puck than Carlo and Laughton.
Machelli is showing nothing. Roy is showing nothing. Reilly is better offensively but his defense is bad. The Leafs, with a few exceptions, are a s l o w team and can't keep up with the 20 year olds. Storlarz needs to be Ron Hextal and start slashing every player that gets too close to his crease!
Matthews can’t score. He isn’t a real threat. Once he got the salary… sniff.
Put Matthews on the second line. Until he gets as good as J.T

Maccelli is terrible. I don’t know what we expected from a Utah throw away. He was healthy scratched many times last season. Why would we expect him to be a player? Anyway, scratch him and play anybody else.
That Carlo non-response is unbelievably awful. What’s he thinking? He should have jumped the Kraken guy who just ran Stolarz. Stollie had to do it himself. Scratch Carlo next game.
Dude, this team thinks they'll be able to cruise into the playoffs like previous seasons. It ain't going to happen this year. Thay can't afford to be the second hardest working team on the ice every game. The division is better and the Leafs are not as skilled as previous seasons.

Stolarz has more heart in him than the rest of the roster combined. Gotta be a shock for him to see how this team responds after spending a season in Florida. Eventually he will be beaten down to the same level. Seriously, this group is becoming harder and harder to care about.
A guy runs into a tendy like that, it’s automatic you grab him by the jersey and rag-doll him out of the net, rough him up a bit and wait for the scrum to wrap you up. Not even a question, you won’t even need to take a penalty, just rag doll him around a bit and keep your cool.

The only sport I follow is hockey. Good luck to the Jays but I don't pay much attention to them. I'd really like to see anyone touching our goalie get pounded. I was grimacing when I saw Stolarz get hit but relaxed when he got right back up and went at Marchmant. That's a time when a player should take a penalty. If the Leafs don't defend their goalie, opposing teams will continue to take liberties.
