  2. It's clear the 1st two lines are a problem. Macelli and Cowan as the third forwards haven't been amazing, although I think Cowan has been a lot better than Macelli. Maybe for a whole game Berube goes Knies-Matthews-Nylander, and then Cowan-Tavares-Robertson/Mcmann (maybe this helps jumpstart Robertson, basically saying be a top 6 goalscorer). Idk.

Honestly, not being able to trade Marner because of the no trade clause for Rantanen really hurt us. If we keep Matthews and Nylander separated, we basically need Cowan to produce like Mitch did last season and Macelli or whoever the 3rd forward is on the 2nd line to be better.

  3. Leafs shooting themselves in the foot all night leaving players wide open and ever knocking their own goalie down, just sloppy defensive plays. I think we've seen enough of Cowan on that top line, the kid needs to bulk up, gets taken off the puck far to easy. Roberston with another nothing game and Macelli was in the same boat.

I know it's early and there are a lot of new faces on the team but it's time to change it up, no reason to be sitting Jarkrock when you can and should be sitting Robertson or Macelli.

  4. Nice W for Seattle, they better team this season I think. Another yr exp for young players, goalending better and that Dcore is pretty good I think.

  5. Thank you Josh Mahura for your OT heroics. I do enjoy seeing my team get eight points in their first five games.

(Is this a good omen for Seattle's baseball brethren tomorrow night?)

  6. Kraken played well, but the Leafs' defense was vaporous, as has been more usual so far this year. A lot of standing around watching, and not moving. Time to reintroduce the Baumgartner drill.

(The Baumgartner drill was an invention of my friend Rob and I, in response to Dmitri Mironov's tendency to stand around watching the puck instead of taking his man. Basically, in practice, you gave the puck to enforcer Ken Baumgartner, who would then approack Mironov at the blue line. Baumgarnter would push the puck past Mironov, and when he looked down at the puck going between his feet, Baumgartner would LEVEL him. Repeat as needed until Mironov learns to take his MAN, not the puck.)

  7. Marchment crossed the line tonight. Theres a fine line between crashing the net and trying to Sam Bennett the goalie. He crossed that line tonight.

  8. Seattle got the biggest bailout in history! That game was bullcrap! The Leafs just tied it up at 3 until Seattle ruined it in Overtime. Horrible game, terrible loss. Leafs got robbed of 2 points. 2 FRICKIN POINTS ROBBED!

  9. Worst announce team in sports. My condolences to fans who don't listen to professional feeds. Kudos to Mitch Marner scoring his first goal tonight to go with 6 asists this season. The Leafs were more interesting when the Toronto Toros were playing.

  10. Oleksiak right in front of the shooter on Toronto's first goal and doesn't block the shot. Big, dumb, slow and can't even block shots. He's useless. Third goal Toronto scores, Oleksiak standing there doing nothing.

  11. Toronto sports fans are hoping this isn't a prelude to another Game 6 tomorrow night against another Seattle sports team in Toronto. lol

  12. Seems like Matthews can only score in empty nets these days. How anyone can be excited about this Leafs team is beyond me. Saturday night in Toronto and can't muster any energy to defeat an average team. In 2 years Matthews will be gone, and Leafs' window for a Cup will be officially over, if it isn't already.

  13. I just Carlo just stand there after his goalie got run over. Usually I day wait 'til playoffs to see what they're like…. i just saw what they'll be like. I'm out. I'll be back when Knies and Cowan are running things. I love the team but I hate these wimps. Gonna sleep in peace tonight ✌️
